Cooking was essential to living healthy and fighting strong, so Yoriichi learned with all his attention how to cook. His mother was a good cooker and taught him cooking early in life.

Now, traditional sweets...

Dorayaki can be one, dango was too common, mochi too common too...

Maybe if he racked his brains, he could make a new recipe...

What about the kay-ku the foreigns talked about? It would just be eggs and sugar and milk.

On his first attempt to make a cake, he did quite well having not seen any recipe. He also made the frosting and was preparing to decorate it.

Somehow, he makes a fine cake layer. But Yoriichi's drawing skills was terrible. Using frosting didn't help. He doesn't want to mess up right now.

"Hey, Kamado-san, you are not allowed here without Shinobu-san's permission!" A loud voice behind him almost made him drop the frosting bowl.

It was the twin ponytail girl that helped his training. He better give her some cake too. But about Shinobu's permission...

"I'm-- I'm sorry," It seems that he will forever repeat "Sorry" if he stays at the Butterfly Mansion.

"What are you making? I recognize that Dorayaki, but not... this." The girl points at the bare cake layer with no frosting on it.

"It's called kay-ku. It is a foreign sweet."

"You made some frosting, isn't that supposed to go on the kay-ku?"

"Well, yes, but I need help. Please decorate the kay-ku." Yoriichi passes the frosting bowl to the twin ponytailed girl.

"Wha-- I don't--" The girl attempted to push it back, but Yoriichi's hands were firm.

"Oh, alright. I know how to cook well enough."

The girl had some trouble, but not much. The cake turned out magnificently decorated and was looking good to go.

"You did an amazing job, er..."

"Aoi. Just Aoi. I hope the kay-ku is good. Thank you for letting me take part in your baking."

Aoi gave a low bow and left the room with her severe expression stoned on her face.

The cake was complete and was looking good. Yoriichi had to thank himself for his wit.

The Dorayaki was great too. One was placed gently on the top of the cake and made the cake look even better. Yoriichi was sure the smell of these sweets wafted right through the walls. Probably everyone who has the strength of a demon slayer could smell it right when he started cooking.

Yoriichi placed all of these in a large plate and prepared to give them away.

The first person he saw the boar head sprinting at him in full speed. Yoriichi sidestepped him and threw a Dorayaki at his boar mask. Boar person, check.

The second person he saw was Shinobu. They both gave a low bow and Yoriichi gave her a piece of cake in a napkin. Shinobu, check.

The third was Kanao. She looked somewhat hesitant like before. She tried to pull her coin out again. Yoriichi gave her a slice of cake before she could take it out. Kanao, check.

Next was Aoi. She was walking normally and then jumped at Yoriichi's sudden appearance. He gave her the Dorayaki that was on the cake. Aoi check.

After that, Yoriichi met three young girls who was living there too. He gave them all some cake. Anyone else in the Butterfly Mansion, check.

Finally, Yoriichi arrived at Zenitsu's room. He somewhat didn't want to open the door. He hasn't even open the door yet but there were screams from inside the room.

"TANJIROOO!! I CAN HEAR YOU OUT THE DOOR!! YOUR HEARTBEAT IS SO STEADY, EHEHEHHE!"

Yoriichi walked into the room, smashed the remaining Dorayaki and cake in Zenitsu's face, sat down on his own bed, and took a nice, long nap.
