[WILL BE DELETED LATER]
Hi everyone! Its been a while.
First of all, I would like to apologize because I am pretty sure most were expecting an update but instead got a note.
Second of all, I wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about Guardian of the Forest. I have seen your comments and they warm my heart. I'm happy to see that you are enjoying the story so far!
I am hoping to have an update ready soon but at the moment I am swamped with work, studying and homework. If anything, my schedule will be freer by summer so hopefully I'll have an update for for you then.
This is one of my favorite stories so I want to take my time with it, meaning, I don't want to rush through writing the chapters, but instead, I want to give everyone something good.
I did plan to post a chapter this month, but I'm still not sure I'm satisfied with it. So please bear with me lovelies.
There is also something else I've been meaning to share with you all!
I recently discovered a Japanese term that I think fits this story well. It's called Iyashikei, the Japanese term for healing. It's mostly used for anime and manga that focus on having a healing or soothing effect on the audience. This means that it doesn't have a big plot, just everyday and mundane things. The little joys in life, the connections of people and our connection to nature. Kind of like the Ghibli films among others (except my story is nowhere near the beauty of said films).
This means that Guardian of the forest might be a bit slow paced for some, but the story is intended to be that way. I just thought you should know for future refence.
If you read this note and you are still here, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your patience and your support. I hope it will be worth it!
With love,
~Van
