THANK THE GODS
Sanemi didn't ask any questions the night you returned home. You honestly would have just slapped him square across the face to proceed your way to bed. This day was just too much and it was more tiring than anything you experienced before.

Still, you were glad that Kanae didn't die. It was worth the effort. You had no clue as to how that would affect the future events but that was a risk that you have been aware of way beforehand. It didn't matter, as there wasn't ever an easy road for you to take. You had to have a bit of uncertainty about the future — that was normal.

The only thing that made you a bit paranoid was the fear of fate taking over the reins again and steering everything back into its original order. Kanae could trip the next day and split her head on the ground for all you knew.

However, you decided to not think about it that night. You deserved a night of peaceful rest with the feeling of accomplishment carrying you off to sweet dreams.

"I hope things will... go well...." You mumbled, drifting off to sleep under your warm blanket as the sun was already rising again. As a demon slayer, you had to adjust to sleeping at the day and working in the night.

"[ y/n ]-san my flamboyant friend, I knew that you had some hidden, glamorous skills! How about you'll become my fourth wive?!" And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the first thing you witnessed the next day.

Tengen bursted into your room after you just woke up and scared the living shit out of you.

You stared at the man with an ('◉⌓◉') expression for a moment. You didn't move from your starfish position on the ground, not even to raise your head from the cat plushy that you somehow always ended up using as pillow in your sleep (It had appeared in your room one day and you highly suspect it to be placed there by Sanemi after having told him about your cat in elementary school, called Nabroleon, your best bro).

"Uhm..." 'not that I would complain, but—'

"Uzui that's mean!! You can't just take all the attractive people and marry them! That's not fair!" You suddenly heard Mitsuri say as she rushed into the room and immediately jumped onto your Futon, hugging you while stretching out her tongue towards the male who still stood at the doorframe.
