Chapter Two
It took me a minute to compose myself before I took his offered hand.I couldn't believe that it was really who it was standing in front of me. Could it really be him? It couldn’t be, right?
"Hey, are you okay?" he asked. Oh, gosh, it's really him! I can't be wrong; I'd always remember those beautiful hazel eyes that jet black disheveled hair and those supple lips.
“Um, ye—yeah I’m okay. Thanks,” I replied, stuttering.
"I'm really, really sorry. I know I've said that for the hundredth time now," he chuckled. "By the way, I'm—,”
"Gerard Way," I finished.
"Yeah, I guess you’re familiar with the band that I'm in." A part of me wanted me to scream in joy! But, I didn’t want to scare him off, you know?
Okay, keep it cool Nikki... "What? My Chemical Romance? Of course!You guys play awesome music," I said, nonchalantly. He smiled and ran a hand through his dark hair. Nice Nikki; smooth and relaxed.
"Thanks, um….?”
I didn't realize I was just staring at him with a dumb smile on my face. I chuckled nervously and held out my hand towards him.
"Oh yeah! Uh, Nikki. Nikki Solomon.” Smooth move Nikki, really smooth.
"Nikki. Such a beautiful name," he smiled. His eyes grazed my top. "Um, about your top."
"Oh, no!It’s okay. I was just about to go home anyway," I smiled.
"I can’t just let you walk home looking like this," he said taking what's left of the coleslaw from my tank top. Which was starting to smell. “Come with me.” He took my hand and I felt a tingle down my spine. I couldn’t tell if he noticed it because he was pulling me ahead. I was so busy gawking at him that I didn’t even notice that I was unfamiliar with where he was taking me.
"Wait,wait, wait!Where are we going?!" I asked him. He looked at me and smiled.
"You'll see."Then we were off.
