Mia pov-
I placed the marinated chicken in the hot pan as it made the sizzling sound and at the same time the doorbell rang.
While wiping my hands on my apron I made my way towards the gate, knowing who will be standing there to greet me.
With a huge smile I opened the gate to see the person I was expecting with a beautiful bouquet in his hand.
I took the bouquet from his hand as he came inside "This is for me, right? It's so beautiful" I pecked his lips while he was busy removing his shoe.
"If I get this sweet peck for bringing you flowers then I will bring them daily, forever" I smiled shyly at Vaarin's statement
"Kuch bhi" I said as I rolled my eyes.
It's been two weeks since we have came back to out apartment and lived like a so damned in love couples.
Suddenly remembering the food in the kitchen, I ran there to lower the flame and then got rid of the apron.
"Are you making dinner?" He asked while opening his tie and making his way towards the room.
"Yes, you were late today. Plus I was getting bored sitting here without doing anything. You know Sam is busy with his work, Alex is not in India. Roshini, she has completely gone missing, no call no message no nothing, and Pari, that girl is busy in making her to be in laws ready for her marriage with their son" I pouted as I remembered how lonely I felt at home. But then a goofy smiled made it way to my face when I remember dancing wildly to kill my time.
"Pari is getting married?" Vaarin came back after changing and looking fresh, and all tiredness seem to wash away from him.
"Mhm" he kissed the side of my head as he stood beside me "well trying to get married with her long term boyfriend" I stirred the purèe which I just transferred to Pan.
"Seems like everyone is getting married" I ignored his statement as past few days he is talking a lot about marriage and stuff.
I again turned the flame at low as I turned my back to it, and leaned in the island.
"She just want to win the heart of her bf's family for now, she is just a year younger than me, she isn't gonna marry this soon! But leave it, do you know from past week I just have to stay here and do nothing, it feels so boring, I have done so much work that sitting ideal just make me feel low." I looked down. It's been 3 weeks I have left my partnership, even though I have more than enough money to last a few years if I don't work but still now I'm habitual of it so I feel so guilty of just sitting at home."I asked you to accompany today" Vaarin said in the duh tone, as he moved forward to the little wine cabinet and pulled out his most expensive wine from the little collection.
"What would I do there! You have work there, and I, I will get bored there too!" I huffed as I folded my hands on my chest.
"Do you want some?" He asked me about the wine but I shook my head as no.
After taking a sip of his wine he took control of the stove as he said "then go out, go shopping, or find yourself a job. I know it must be tiring to just wake up and stay inside these four walls."
I made my way behind him and let my arms encircle his waist as I leaned on his back.He released a chuckle, and I felt my hands vibrating with his chest.
"But it's kind of good too, I don't have to go out in this hot sun. I mean even though previously I used to it in AC cabin but then also going to the venue and arranging, I don't why I even picked this as a career." I said in a small baby way.
