2 weeks later:
MIA POV-
I again tried to dial his number but like last
time it was switched off.
I kicked the stone in anger.
This Advik, he is very much getting on my nerves.
I reached office 30 mins ago via taxi only to find it close. On a business day, wedding season and one of the well known event organising company is closed. Ridiculous!
I never expected this from Advik, I thought at least he is very serious abt work but now I am forced to think otherwise!
Having no option left I decided to visit Advik's father company.
None of our office employees no. Is reachable! How is it possible!
My phone rang.
It was a call from Sam.
I picked up
"So Mrs. Ahuja, do you have any vacant time for your old friend and this poor guy Alex" Sam's voice made me forget all my tension!
"Oh my goddd!" I squealed "you both are here, in Pune" my voice was evident of every piece of joy I was feeling.
"No shit Sherlock" Came Alex's reply followed by both of them laughing.
"Shut up princess" I faked my anger but ended up laughing. I could feel tears of gap in corner of my eyes.
After my engagement , which had been done almost 5 months from now, Alex had gone back to America and Samarthya was in Kolkata.
"Are you guys seriously here?" I asked not believing
"Yes madam we are!?" Sam said
"Tell me how will you believe us?" Alex jumped in. Always hyperactive and lovess to cut off other I swear.
"Only if you come and pick me up and then hang out with me and.. also by me I've cream at our usual place" I was more happy than angry on both of them to be very less communicating these 5 months.
"Right away ma'am! At your office?" Sam questioned.
This our bond, we have never been fan of texting. Distance can never ever place a single scratch on our friendship. It's something I will always treasure and be grateful.
Only if we met at different circumstances.
Than there won't be those bad memories which..
The honking of Car brought me out of my miserable thoughts.
Alex was the first one to step out and it didn't take another second for me to hug him by his waist. I felt his arm encircling around my shoulder.
"And last time we talked someone told me that they don't miss me" Alex smugly said only to earn a hit by me on his back.
"Calm down Mary Kom, I missed you too" he said hugging me tighter
"Dumbo" I swear my love language is hitting and cussing you.
I felt more weight at my back, and yes now I'm sandwich-ed b/w both my homies.
"Seems like no one missed me" came Sam's Voice.

"Oh shit, we guys have been talking for 2 hours straight!" I started packing my things in panic "I had to go out with Varun as well, oh god I had to visit Advik's company as well!" A cry of helplessness released from my lips.
"Woman, relax we will drop you," Alex said in not so serious tone "after devouring our meal"
The hopeful light in my eyes fell after listening to his next statement.
"Alex ke bacchee, tujhse na I will later," I asked the waiter to bring the bill and pack the food.
"Sammy and princess, get up I'm your responsibility, drop me home safely!!" I held Sam's bicep to get him up and he stood up while shaking his head in annoyance with a tint of smile.
"Ma'am, Bill" the waiter kept the bill on the table and I knew even if I tried to pay these two so chivalrous won't let me so I just made my way out.
Alex gave me those disgusting gazes, in a fun way, to which I just gave him a flying kiss.

"Haan. toh don't you---" I stop talking in the middle when my phone rings, I told both my friends of no use to shut their mouths
"Heyy" I greeted as soon as I picked the call with the widest smile
"Hi, how are you?" his voice had little concern dripping from it.
"I'm fine, why what happened?" My smiling face had a frown.
"Your office, it's closed. Where are you? I'm waiting outside. Did something happened-" I cut his worried voice while shaking my head.
"Vaarin, don't worry I'm coming to the office I will explain everything to you, Okay?" I asked hitting Alex on the shoulder because he was mocking the way I was talking.
"Okay" followed with a sigh from his side and he doesn't know that what his okay did to me!
Doesn't this guy have a little bit of curiosity...
If I was at his place I would be bombarding him with questions rn.
"I will be there in 10 minutes or so I guess" I said with a smile. He is just the opposite of me. I don't know if it is good or bad but
But he is good for sure.
"Okay, I'm waiting" I could see him nodding with a faint smile on my reassuring voice.
*-*-*-*-*
"So when I was about to take off for Advik's office Sam called" I completed and took another sip of my drink.
Vaarin is eating his meal while I'm helping finish his drink.
He forwarded the spoon is my direction, I opened my mouth and ate it.
"So when are you planning to meet him?" He asked as took a bite.
"I don't know," I showed him hand indicating to stop as I chewing the food.
He smiled.
He looked up when I was done chewing.
"I will try to get an appointment for tomorrow morning, I know if I go directly he will show attitude" and with that I made a face and took one more sip.
He was about to say something but then his phone rang, "excuse me" he picked up his call
"Ji mummy" I concentrated on my drink
"What?"his voice held concern with anger. He hanged up immediately.
"Mia, We are leaving now" it is serious, it is very rare he calls me Mia this monotonously
