Chapter- 35

Writer POV-

Mia let Vaarin keep her bag in the car. She furtively wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.
She backed a little and saw the building.

She didn't know if this was the last time she was looking at it or not.

All the sweet memories flashed in her mind. Her journey from her previous house to this one and now to the next one. In every step of her life, she has changed her house.

First to an apartment when she joined college, then moved in with her friends when she started working, completely self-dependant, and now under the same roof with her fiance.

Tear just seem to come out of her eyes. It was very hard for her to let go of things. And on top of that, she couldn't meet Pari or Roshni.

She has been alone in the house for the past 3 days. To her misfortune, Roshni had a business trip and Pari accompanied her boyfriend Siddharth (Sid) to his little vacation.

So she couldn't bid bye to her best friend. She wasn't able to control her tears from yesterday even Sam and Alex tried to make her understand that it is not the end of the world and she could still meet them whenever she wants but she just couldn't help it. After all, it is not easy to get settled and then move out to get settled again.

Vaarin checked the 2 bags and closed the trunk.

His eyes snapped to her and he was in trance, the setting sun's light hitting her skin and making it glow. Her hair shining, the little pout of her lips.
He wondered what they tasted like, so stupid of him to ruin their first kiss so terribly!

He snapped out of his thoughts by the awful memories.

He walked towards her but she seemed lost in her thoughts.

He stared at her for more time - thinking her to be a puzzle for him. He had actually done so dreadful thing to her! Now he thinks about it he feels so disappointed by himself and so stupid - how could he possibly ever wanted her to forget that he forced her into a relationship and be happy with him! But still, this girl is standing beside him, ready to marry him.

Maybe her parents could be really the reason for her not accepting him, he thought. Because if she said yes for this marriage now then she sure has some feeling for him, he concluded.

He cleared his throat. Mia snapped her head to him, Vaarin thought that she will break her neck if she keep snapping her head at this speed.

When Mia realised she still had tears in her eyes, she looked the other way and wiped her tears. She hasn't cried in front of anyone, it was just a little weird for her to show her vulnerable side to anyone. Everyone has picturized her as a happy, bubbly soul but it's not necessary that a happy soul doesn't cry.

Vaarin kept his hand on her shoulder not knowing what to say.

"Ahh" Mia cut him off
"It's fine, let's go" she wiped her face again and gave a tight smile.

Vaarin returned the tight smile and after patting her shoulder he moved towards the driver seat.

Mia too got seated.

As the car went in motion Mia's eyes didn't leave the building. She was trying to prepare herself for this from yesterday but she couldn't. She would miss every single thing of here! She didn't want to forget even a single memory of those magical days!

She took a deep sigh and again tears made their way out of her eyes.

She shook her head as she wiped her tears
'shh, remember we can meet your friends whenever you want, don't cry. You can come to this house whenever you want '
