Humid air rushes to my face as soon as I opened the window I always adored besides me. Warm and gentle breeze crosses through my hair softly. But the month is the official start of the increasing difficulty to the students. I've always noticed it. Things gets harder by this time. Assignments and reports dumped in masses... all at once. Teachers have no remorse. Perhaps the so-called "special" education here is just being more difficult academic studies than the average school. Whatever. Although I've gotten used to it, I can't nullify stress. In fact, I absorb stress. Schedules and brainstorming is the trick. I don't know how others do on their own. My method is proven to be effective.
The hellish period has begun. A period of constant labor and sleeplessness. Where brains should be harnessed to the fullest. The breeze of July signifies the rising current of the system. I sighed while looking outside the vicinity. Leaves scattered on the concrete ground. The daily routine of doing paperworks. Sometimes, I'm getting bored of this. Is there anything else to do except rubbing the tip of a pen on a paper? The sound of the pen dragged to create paragraphs is what I hear as I continuously write. Letters form a word. Numbers form an equation. This is the only things I have known for the whole time. I'm sure there's more to life than this.
THUD!
The doors were slid and someone entered. Azrael shows himself in front of all. Waving to everyone with grandiose rings attached to his fingers. He then sits in front row. Women flocks to him. Even the girls from other class peeks from the exposed open doors. Their idolatry stopped when Azrael commanded someone to close the entrance. With a strike of an eye, the receiver instantly gets it. An authoritative personality along with charm can get you everywhere. Azrael crosses his legs, the alluminum decoration in his dark brown leather shoes reflects the sunlit part of the floor and exposes his ankle because of cropped trousers he always wears. Flashy.
"Hey..."
Levi calls me. Turning his body from his seat. He looks at me.
"You done doing Olsen's essay?"
I stare at him with wonder. For the first time a classmate asked me that question. A sudden realization caughts me off-guard.
"Yes" I replied immediately.
"Oh, okay" Levi whispered. He stood up and walked to me. He then handed me his paper.
"What'd you think? Is everything correct?"
Four-eyes wants me to check his assignment. This can't be good. But I'm in the good mood as of now. Having it corrected wouldn't hurt. I took and looked at his paper. Some grammatical and punctuational errors had I saw, but overall it's straightforward and concise.
"Good."
"Thanks" Levi said with a small smile carved in his face.
As soon as he returned to his original position, I subtly and silently continued the conversation.
"Don't let it become a habit" I warned him.
"Sure."
The bell rang loudly. It is now noon break. I hurried to the theater room where the practices are being done. As I get near, I remember all the planning we discussed from the other day. As clear as crystal.
