Hoseok jumped in surprise when he heard the sound of an ear-shattering, and absolutely terrified scream echo through the air. He quickly spun around in his track. That voice, it belonged to Namjoon!
Before he was even aware that he had started running, his feet stopped in front of the spot where the younger omega was laying. "Joon-ah what's wrong?" He asked desperately, trying his best to hide the panic which obviously laced his voice.
Namjoon was deathly pale, yet there was still a feverish tint of red coloring his cheeks. The fever still hadn't died down properly. Hoseok sighed at that, sitting down next to the frozen still Namjoon, brushing a cool hand through the younger's hair to comfort him. It was wet from sweat, but the older didn't care. It didn't matter. As long as Namjoon was okay. The omega's eyes were glistening from the fever and from forming tears just waiting to spill. Namjoon looked tired, but the intense fear that was written over his entire body, overtook the sleepiness.
"Hyung....why?" The younger asked, bringing his trembling hand up to point at something behind Hoseok's back. "Don't worry about it Joon, I know..." The older said, throwing his arms around the frozen frame of his fellow omega, tears flowing out of his eyes from an intense and immediate urge to cry. He knew all too well what it was that Namjoon pointed at and he knew he needed to explain.
"It's fine, I promise." He whispered in his ear, making Namjoon frown weakly. His trembling still hadn't ceased.
"We'll be alright." Namjoon let his hand drop again, and let the unshed tears run down his cheek. His frame was still frozen in the older's hold. Hoseok was weeping, clenching hardly at the grip he had around the younger man's shirt and crying even more. His constant flow of tears was dampening the other omega's shirt and making a wet spot on Namjoon's shoulder, where he was resting his head. "I'm sorry." The older said. He knew he needed to explain this, but he was so overwhelmed by emotion that he could barely form a full sentence through his intense heaving. "I-I am just...." He needed to take a break to release a loud sob, checking once again to see that Namjoon was really there, awake, alive. "'m g-glad, you're okay." He finally said. Namjoon was still shaking harshly, obviously very confused and scared.
"B-but Jimin..." Namjoon said, eyes closing and hands finally reaching around the smaller omega's frame to reciprocate the hug. A silence formed around them. A silence that was only filled with Hoseok's harsh sobbing and constant mantra of "I'm sorry." "I am sorry Joon."
The sound of rustling from somewhere behind them broke the silence. Hoseok felt Namjoon's head whip around tensely to see where the sound came from, but he himself didn't bother checking what it was. "H-hyung...." Namjoon's voice was shaking, and Hoseok could feel one of Namjoon's tears land on his head.
"What's going on?" A voice asked. Namjoon's crying intensified and he let a loud sob escape from his lips.
"Is Namjoon, okay?" The voice sounded about as panicked as Hoseok had first been when he had heard the scream. The sound of footsteps approached and came even closer to the spot where the two of them were. "Hoseok." The voice said from behind him. "He is going to pass out if you wait any longer to explain," The voice was stern. Hoseok could feel that the owner of it put a hand on his shoulder. A way to tell him to let the younger out of his death grip.
"R-right." He replied back, finally letting go of the younger omega and wiping his own tears with his sweater sleeve. "I-I am just....so happy." He said, still having problems speaking. "I can't believe he finally woke up." Jimin nodded back at him. "Yeah. Me too." He said, voice no longer strict. Sounding more like he was about to break into tears at any minute himself too.
"Well, I guess I will get going then." Another, much deeper voice sounded and the man who Namjoon had pointed at earlier got up from up from where he was seated.
