A soft knock on the door made Yoongi flinch. Despite how tired and deprived he felt, flinching was something he often found himself doing nonetheless. He knew that he shouldn't really be fazed by this anymore. The family members came and went as they pleased, this wasn't new. Rather, that was pretty much what his life had been here. His whole existence had turned into a factor for someone's satisfaction, an outlet for them to turn their anger and frustration to.
To them he was an object, no longer human, no longer allowed to feel emotions. They didn't care about him, they solely did whatever they pleased to him, whenever they pleased. He had never even gotten as much as a warning. Until today, that was. Which is what made this time in particular a bit intriguing, even to the emotionless object left in the darkness. As many times as they had come on their own record, they had never before knocked. Never before had he gotten a warning.
His body instinctively told him to brace himself. That this slight warning was nothing, wasn't going to make a difference once the door opened. His mind on the other hand, stayed open, awake and didn't shut off like it usually did when they came. There was a slight hope in the back of his mind. Worst case scenario, he would just turn his mind off again once they entered, it was a slight timeline, but he had gotten used to it. The fear of staying conscious though it all was much worse. He never knew what they planned. Every time it was a new aspect to the old act. They always came in there for the same reason, but he found himself to be a platform of exploration for them to try out new poses and techniques. It was the perfect opportunity wasn't it? To try it out on a person you didn't care if felt good or not. One you didn't care if got hurt or not.
No matter how unpredictable they were, neither father nor son had ever knocked before. The fact that whoever was on the other side of the door had done so, made him wonder the reason why. If he should take that as a good or a bad sign. Though he felt slightly intrigued about the sudden change, he would not make the mistake of getting his hope up. He didn't dare to.
The door opened silently a few seconds after. It cried out a weak squeak, which echoed in the big empty room, before it slowly closed again. Yet another shiver went through him as he heard the footsteps of the unknown enclose him. Flincing and shivering seemed to be the only actions left he had energy for. At least was it the only ones that his body had been doing lately.
It scared him more than he wanted to admit that the door was fully closed. Nobody had ever bothered to turn the lights on in the room. Yet they had always kept the door open and used a little stripe of light coming from the living room to see. Or rather, to not see. He highly doubted they actually wanted to see the face of the one they were fucking. Especially with their constant reminders of how much of a disgusting freak he was. He guessed he was fine with that, he didn't want to see them either. This time the door wasn't left open, there was no stripe of light and thus Yoongi was fully unable to see who it was that was approaching him through the darkness in the room. It could just be Jaehwan or his father who both stopped by frequently, but somehow, from the quiet actions and reluctant steps, Yoongi got the impression that it was neither of them this time. This was different.
Suddenly a bright light filled the room forcing the omega to shut his eyes in response. He didn't know how long he had been sitting in this room, but throughout his whole stay, this was the first time he had actually seen this much light. The bright rays stung in his eyes.
"I am sorry." A voice piped up, the omega was still unable to see, too busy to block his eyes with his hand. Nonetheless, he could still hear, and he knew he had heard this voice before.
"Did I wake you up?" The voice asked again and when it did, he finally recognized it. Jungkook.
He shook his head weakly in response, eyes slowly, but surely getting used to the bright light blinding him. It was weird to actually see the room he had been trapped in for so long now. He had already figured out, even in the dark, that the floor was tiled. Now though, he could for the first time see the dark gray tiles that spread across the surprisingly large room. Maybe this prison was actually an upgrade from his room back in the school. At least here there was some space to breathe. The rock wall opposite to him was covered with wooden racks that had different kinds of wine on them. Also the wine racks lit had up as the alpha had turned the switch on.
