Namjoon knew he was the one who had requested it, but the second Hoseok closed the door behind him, leaving the two of them alone, the tension in the room grew immensely. Even Namjoon himself could feel how wide his eyes were as they were staring widely at the alpha who was seated in a chair by the foot of his bed. He felt like a deer in headlights and was uncomfortably reminded of their first encounter. When Seokjin had tried to kill him. He exhaled deeply, trying to tell himself that this was not the same Seokjin. That this was a man who had helped them heal their wounds. A man who was keeping them in his house despite the position it could put him in. Unfortunately it didn't matter what he told himself, because no matter how much he tried to twist and turn it, the alpha seated in front of him, was the very same as the one who had caused him pain.
They sat awkwardly. Neither one of them looked at the other, neither one of them spoke. Namjoon could feel his body tremble as he stared at the door to his left. At that moment he highly considered giving up and calling for the other two omegas. He sighed, trying his best to stop the trembling which had overtaken his body. No, he couldn't call them. Because no matter how scared he was, this had been his choice. Staring his worst nightmare in the eyes was hard, but it was something he wanted to do, he wanted to get answers even if it meant confronting a painful situation. If he didn't do it now, he wasn't sure it would ever happen. After all, it had taken him and Hoseok almost an hour of convincing to get Jimin to hesitatingly agree. The youngest omega had clearly been very annoyed at the both of them. With an angry sigh, he had finally given up once he realized that neither of the two others were going to budge.
"I will give you an hour alone with him. I know you wanted to speak privately, but there is no way I am letting you be in there alone without any protection. Therefore Hoseok and I will be out of listening distance, but still close enough to hear you if you were to call loudly." They both knew there would be no point arguing further. Jimin was not going to budge and neither were they, so ultimately they had decided on those terms. Hoseok had really done so much to convince Jimin to let him do this, and Namjoon knew Jimin was only being strict because he was worried. That's why he didn't dare call them. Not after what they had done for him.
"I understand that you have a lot of questions." In the end it was the alpha who had spoken first. Namjoon carefully peeked up to look at him, only to quickly revert his eyes again, staring at his sheets instead. "I can't promise you that my replies are worthwhile, but I will try my best to answer you and I promise to be honest no matter what." There was more intensity to those words than Namjoon had expected. He looked up again. The look on the alpha's face was serious, almost dark. There was strong determination radiating from it.
Namjoon's hands were still shaking. In fact, his whole body was shaking. Even now that the conversation had started, he was still absolutely terrified. This was the same alpha as the one in the woods, he was different, but the same. It was very confusing, but nonetheless he couldn't help, but feel scared of the man seated opposite him.
"Who are you?" He was finally able to force out. His hands were shaking ever worse now and he was surprised that the words were even audible through his intense teeth clattering.
The alpha sighed, like he had just been given a difficult question. "I am Kim Seokjin. 20 years old, born from money. I am the owner of a restaurant I have made myself from scratch it is my biggest pride. I have a huge passion for cooking, I always have and I love food." He took a small break. "I am also an alpha." He answered eventually, never seizing the almost scary look of seriousness on his face. A heavy chill was sent through Namjoon body at the last sentence. "An alpha".
As Namjoon tried to comprehend the words and place them into the almost empty picture he had made himself of the other man, he couldn't help but ask the question he most of all wanted answered:
