(I like how in the movies we just forget about Fisk. Like what do you mean everyone is dead? Fisk is literally right there man.) (Also short chapter!)

My eyes were blurry as I tried to look around; My head was pounding like a drum while trying to sit up. Feeling over my body blindly my hands ghosted over a heavy collar around my neck. Tugging at the hem of it there was barely enough room to get a good breath. The chain itself looked new; not a hint of rust touched it. The collar wasn't a problem, nor was the chain; it was the wall that had a threatening problem. Saws lined the wall where the chain looked to be connected to through a small hole.

'Prove I can trust you'; what does he expect me to do? Take my own life for him? The loud wind up of metal sent panic through my body. The chain started to pull me in closer to the saws; Doing my best I tried to keep my feet firm on the ground and pulled against it. A small red light appeared on the end of my collar and the chain pulled harder. I had to think fast; even if I could buy myself a few more minutes and hope, I'd take it. Loosening the length of the chain I swung it like a jump rope trying to jam the saws. Sparks flew and I was pulled by my neck across the floor. There wasn't anything I could do. The saw was too close; holding up my right arm blocking it, I shrieked as the saw tore into my forearm. A beep was sounded and the saws stopped rotating; the wall swung open and the chain kept dragging me into a more open room.

Stiffly coming to a stand the chain was leading to a motor on the ceiling. Hoffman wasn't making this easy for me. The lack of instructions, the very limited time, the very clear attempt to kill me; he was testing me every way he could. Could I be quick and witty? Did I have what it takes to tough out pain? If I make it out I have a feeling the last test would be, could I keep my mouth shut. A gunshot rang through the building along with screaming. I wasn't the only one in here and it sounded like someone just lost a game. Focusing back on my task, ten keys were laid out on a table. Feeling my collar one more time a small keyhole rested just past my shoulder.

The motor sped up making it a speed run to survive. My hand shook as I rushed to start grabbing keys. "One? No. Two? No. Three?" I was fumbling bad, dropping keys left and right, having to pick them off the ground.

I started to leave the ground. Heat and blood rushed to my face; the metal was digging into my neck painfully. I grabbed three random keys and held onto the collar, choking and gasping for air. Tears streamed down my face "C-come o-on" my vision was foggy. I was down to the last key and my face was turning white. I couldn't tell how far off the ground I was. All the alarms in my mind were blaring. A faint click sounded and I hit the ground hard. I let out a silent scream; I had landed on my shoulder and rolled my ankle. The pain was agonizing and felt like someone lit my body on fire from the inside out. A few minutes later two more gunshots rang out. I had to get out of here.

Crying I got up and hobbled towards the only set of doors in the room. Using the opposite arm and leg I followed the maze-like halls trying to listen to any ques to tell me where to go. My body felt like shutting down and giving up before faint shouting gave me enough boost to keep going. "We've got a live one!" It sounded like a medical team and finally a light shined down the hall towards me. "Please, help me" my throat felt dry and painful. Two men ran up to me supporting me on both sides leading me out. Taking me down the steps I could see Hoffman visibly pissed looking at someone in the ambulance. "We found another one!" one of the men shouted over my shoulder dragging me along. Mark's eyes then met yours. It was like he was staring into your soul or if he was a predator staring down his prey. You tried to figure out what he was thinking from the way he was looking at you, but you couldn't. Fisk got his attention as they loaded me up into the vehicle. I scanned over the body on the gurney "...Strahm" was the only thing I managed to whisper before everything went black again.

My body finally gave in to the pain. All the adrenaline drained out of me as I went into a deep sleep.
