(TRUE ENDING)

My ears rang and the back of my head hurt. It hurt to breathe from the bullet wound in my side. Where am I now? The floor felt grimey and cold to the touch. Why was I on the floor? That's when It really clicked. Lawrence Gordon, Larry fucking Gordon shot me! I pried my eyes open; I was laying on a bathroom floor and Mark was being dragged to one of the corners. Taking a glance at the room I only spotted two guys and both were busy with Hoffman.

Slowly moving I felt my pocket for my knife; rejoicing silently as I pulled it out and got ready. I felt like I was walking on eggshells. This was a absolutely stupid idea given the playing field. Each painful step made my heart race quicker. The first guy stood up and I quickly slit his throat alerting the second man. He charged at me, ramming us both into the wall. I cried out as my wound was pressed into. "Stop, I want her alive." Gordon had walked into the room just as Mark woke up.

Mark looked panicked remembering what had happened. His eyes frantically scanned the room "What is this? What did you do to her, you bastard!" Gordon walked in front of me "She's none of your concern anymore". Gordon had me taken out of the room. "You let him kill Jill?" Gordon angrily spat at me as I tried to catch a breath. "Yes I did, the bitch probably sold me out." Gordon sighed "I told her to do it! Mark was taking things too far; I would have found you a way out"! I felt hurt and angry "I didn't need your help! He was my help"! His brows raised in confusion before connecting the dots. "You haven't..." I smiled, "I have".

Gordon paced bath and forth before gently grabbing my shoulders. "(Y/n), all he's done is manipulate you, hurt you, and make you think you need him." I guarded myself as he talked. "You're like a little sister to me, so please, let me help you". My heart hurt hearing those words. Was I really like a sister to him? I looked back at Mark and thought about everything that had happened. "Okay, let's get out of here." I said with a shaky breath.

I walked over to the door and smiled with sad eyes at Hoffman. "Game over..." He screamed out my name and called me horrible things. Gordon took his coat off and set it on my shoulders. I put on a brave face as we all made it out of the building. I finally felt like I could breathe.

(Time skip-15yrs later) (f/n=fake name fl/n=fake last name)

I laughed as Diana caused powder to fly everywhere. I was currently trying to help her and Alison bake handmade cookies.

True to his words Gordon was able to help me escape everything. I dyed my hair from time to time out of paranoia; but I was no longer (Y/n) (L/n). She 'died' years ago and all her records disappeared. It was rumored it all burned in the building that fateful night. I was (F/n) (Fl/n) an old college friend of Larry's. We happened to meet in town while I was house hunting. Alison was wary of me for a long while and I don't blame her. Gordon did cheat and she and Diana almost lost their lives to a 'friend' of Larry's.

Today was Gordon's anniversary of working in the medical field and Diana wanted to do something special. After Diana started to like me Alison soon followed and ever since, we hung out like family. The last fifteen years had been rough. I had more night terrors and every noise and creak I'd hear I'd panic. I kept the news on a lot searching for signs of Hoffman. He would definitely kill me now if he got a chance. After a lot of therapy and getting my beloved dog (D/n), things calmed down.

Gordon came through the front door and Diana ran up to him covering him in white powder. At least his shirt was white. Alison gave him a peck and I continued to work on the dough. "What's all this?" He asked walking over to peek. I threw powder at his face "No peeking! Diana has strict rules." I said, winking at his daughter. Gordon grumbled and stayed out of the kitchen while we finished.

An hour later the cookies were done and Diana rushed them over to eat. "Happy work anniversary daddy!" Gordon smiled and ate cookies with all of us.

Everything was as peaceful as it could get. I was forever grateful that Gordon convinced me to get out of there. Without his help I probably would have rotted away with Hoffman. This truly was 'game over'.
