(KARMA ENDING)

My ears rang and the back of my head hurt. It hurt to breathe from the bullet wound in my side. Where am I now? The floor felt grimey and cold to the touch. Why was I on the floor? That's when It really clicked. Lawrence Gordon, Larry fucking Gordon shot me! I pried my eyes open; I was laying on a bathroom floor and Mark was being dragged to one of the corners. Taking a glance at the room I only spotted two guys and both were busy with Hoffman.

Slowly moving I felt my pocket for my knife; rejoicing silently as I pulled it out and got ready. I felt like I was walking on eggshells. This was a absolutely stupid idea given the playing field. Each painful step made my heart race quicker. The first guy stood up and I quickly slit his throat alerting the second man. He charged at me, ramming us both into the wall. I cried out as my wound was pressed into. "Stop, I want her alive." Gordon had walked into the room just as Mark woke up.

Mark looked panicked remembering what had happened. His eyes frantically scanned the room "What is this? What did you do to her, you bastard!" Gordon walked in front of me "She's none of your concern anymore". Gordon had me taken out of the room. "You let him kill Jill?" Gordon angrily spat at me as I tried to catch a breath. "Yes I did, the bitch probably sold me out." Gordon sighed "I told her to do it! Mark was taking things too far; I would have found you a way out"! I felt hurt and angry "I didn't need your help! He was my help"! His brows raised in confusion before connecting the dots. "You haven't..." I smiled, "I have".

"Shoot him." Gordon commanded and before I could react the gun went off. I dropped to my knees in shock. Mark laid lifeless on the floor with blood pooling around his head. I felt everything and nothing all at once. Tears silently fell from my face as I stood and faced Gordon. "You'll thank me later." Was all he said before turning to walk away. Without thinking I jumped onto him causing him to fall. He elbowed my face trying to throw me off. Once I had a good grip, I dug my knife into his neck. As I did, a gun went off and right through both of us.

I rolled off gasping for air. The man working for Gordon cursed and went sprinting down the halls. My eyes grew heavy, before closing. The world faded away into a vast empty void. In another life could Mark and I be okay? It's better this way I guess. No more death, no more worry. Just sleep. I slipped from reality but now the void didn't feel so empty.
