Chapter Fifty Eight:
( Something Dangerous )

Anna was finishing up getting ready for school that morning, she had just slipped her leather jacket over her muscle tee and now she was placing her books into her book bag. As she was shoving them into her bag, she realized something out of the corner glimpse of her eye. The words on her English book looked scrambled, but when she went to get a better look her focus was grabbed by her dad who knocked on her door. As she blinked and looked at him, she had noticed he was leaning against the threshold of her door.

"Hey, kiddo." Chris said cheerfully, "Allison has already headed out, I just wanted to see if you were doing all right?"

Anna pursed her lips, shoving her book into her bag, choosing to ignore what she thought she saw. "Yeah, fine. Just really tired."

A frown placed itself on her dad's lips, the man crossing over to her and wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "You still haven't been able to get any sleep, sweetheart?" His voice filled with worry and fatherly concern for his oldest daughter.

Ever since her father and Allison found her levitating in her sleep while also screaming her lungs out like a lunatic, they both had been super alert and worried about her well-being. She kept trying to tell them both that she was fine, but in truth, she had no idea what was going on with her. But what she did know was that she didn't want anyone to worry about her.

She was a big girl, she could figure out her own shit without everyone hovering.

A sigh heaved from the hazel eyed girl's lips, "I'm fine, dad. Don't worry about me. I'm probably just super stressed and can't sleep."

Chris' frown deepened, "But you have nightmares too, are you sure that it's just stress?"

Annabeth nodded, pulling her backpack strap over her shoulder. "I'm sure, dad. I'll figure it out, okay?" She smacks a kiss on his cheek, "I promise. I gotta get to school, I'll see you later."

Chris nods, "Have a good day, sweetheart!" He called after her, the girl crossing her threshold and heading towards the elevator to exit the apartment.

After getting out of the elevator and walking through the doors and entering the parking lot, she swung her keys to her brand new red Buick on her finger as she made her way to her car. Around Thanksgiving time— Black Friday to be specific, as a reward for completing their hunter training their father got she and Allison brand new cars, he was still selling weapons as a job, considering how many people need ammunition in Beacon Hills, he has a pretty big paycheck every two weeks.
