Li Ming stood at the gates of the school, staring up at the brick building. He repeated courageous words to himself, trying to muster up some type of courage to walk closer. It was an early 6 am morning. He wanted to get an early start so that he wouldn't have to see anyone on his way to class.
His light pink hair and ivory eyes stood out like a penguin in the grass. He knew it would cause much attention which he did not want. But no matter what, he could never dye it. It reminded him too much of her.
He looked around, the cool breeze hitting his half-covered legs. You'd think he'd wear something other than a shirt and a hoodie but due to his lack of a phone, he couldn't check the forecast. To be honest, his lack of clothing is a problem too. He knew this as well. It took everything he got to get into this school. He couldn't back out now.
He slowly walked through the gates and went into the building. A sigh of relief came from him as he walked down the silent hallways. It seemed the place was abandoned but then a person appeared..not one..two..not two..three!?
Li hid behind a locker and peeked. Now he wasn't one to be nosey but he couldn't help it!
"Dude, I can't believe you did that!" The boy who said that seemed to have blonde hair and red eyes. A well-built body. He had a look of shock and disappointment as he looked at the other male.
The other scoffed. "She had it coming. You know how I get about those types." The one beside the blonde had icy eyes that could pierce through your soul..and black long hair into a back ponytail. Was he smoking? Eh, whatever.. But what are they doing here so early?
Li was too consumed in his thoughts to realize he was standing over a water puddle. He was about to try and quickly walk away as the two walked in his direction but he slipped. 'IM GONNA DIEEEE!' He was about to accept his fate when strong hands caught him. The smell of cigarette smoke was strong.
He felt someone panting on him. The person seemed out of breath. Li slowly opened his eyes. They were met by gorgeous blue ones. "Are..y-you alright?" The man asked, lifting Li up to his feet. Li blinked and just stared at the man. He couldn't think, nevertheless talk.
"Nikolay, let's go." The blonde one put his hand on Nikolay's shoulder, pointing towards the door. He nodded and looked back at Li, smiling softly. "Be careful, Mr. Liones leaves puddles like this all the time. He's the janitor." He waved at Li and he walked away with the other who..glared at him.
Li just stood there. He didn't know how to process that! He didn't know if to be scared of the man or to be happy he was still alive. After a few more minutes of staring, he ran into an empty room with a canvas. He knew he wasn't supposed to just use any 'ol canvas but he needed to get these feelings out.
It was like a feeling of relief and a feeling of fear all at once. How could he put that into a painting? He thought then grabbed the paint. He stared at his art and smiled a little. It came out how he wanted. He felt his own feelings projecting from just this piece. Sure, it is not great but he felt as if he knew what this meant. It was his beginning.
