Quantico , Virginia , 2004.————-
Pulling apart my wardrobe to find a outfit for tonight. Derek invited the whole team to a new club and they are having a dress-up night for Halloween. Hotch declined and, Spencer actually accepted.
I originally planned on dressing up as Marie Antoinette but I doubt anyone would recognize me unless I went around shouting 'let them eat cake' even though there's actually no proof that she said that.
So I just decided to dress up as a cowgirl because it's a fun outfit and a excuse for me to put on a crap western accent.
Honk..honk
Derek's car honked from outside indicating he's here. I walked out wearing a black spaghetti strapped vest with a red flannel shirt that I tied a knot in showing cleavage and a small denim skirt and my favorite cowboy boots.
I stepped outside my apartment block realizing how cold it was a night but not turning back to put on a coat. Derek pulled down his windows and wolf whistled at me sitting me to giggle while crossing the road.
Derek dressed up as a sexy fire fighter, which was probably just a excuse to not wear a shirt.
My apartment block was closest to Derek's flat, so we were the first ones in the car, we picked up Spencer next who wore a long black coat and all black clothes and said we have to guess who he was, I guessed Johnny cash but was wrong somehow. He announced, after Derek and I guessing more than 20 times that he was Sherlock Holmes and Derek told him that he didn't need to dress up to be him, which caused us all to let out a laugh.
Then, we picked up Garcia who dressed up as Katy Perry from one of her colorful music videos.
Her makeup was crazy and I absolutely adored it.Next to pick up was JJ, who dressed up as a professional soccer player. By the looks of it, she was wearing her old soccer gear from high school which still kinda fit her.
We walked to the club in 3 lines: Derek and Penelope first, Spencer and JJ second and I was at the back, zoning out while starring at the moon.
The moon always fascinated me, how can something so small be so big with nothing living on it? I like to think that my dad and mom stare at the moon at night and think of me sometimes like the parents would do in those movies. But I guess in the movies the parents aren't gang members and run aways.
I must've missed when they all went into the club because when I looked up I was all alone on the lit-up street. I took my phone out and rang each one of them but they didn't answer because they were probably in the club.
Then, I looked up directions to the club but since it was new, it wasn't even online yet.
After a mini-panic, I began to retrace my steps to see if the club was near. I stopped outside of a club with the sign 'the no-name club' in big red LED writing.
I walked inside because that was the name Derek told us about and I spotted him and Garcia instantly. They were doing some kind of dance on the dance floor, she was flapping her arms around and jumping while he was doing some type of grind-thing.
Spencer was showing some group of girls a up-close magic trick and JJ was playing darts with some boys.
I made my way over to the bar and sat down, crossing my legs. Spencer soon walked over to me , smiling to himself. "Giddy?" He didn't even seem drunk, just blissfully happy.
"Yeah, do you believe in magic?" I actually used to be really into up-close magic, that being I figured out all the tricks during maths class in high school.
"I think I might need a bit of convincing" I leaned slightly closer to him so our legs were touching.
"Well.. you see this coin" Spencer nodding to the coin in his hand.
"Mhm" I hummed yes.
"Watch as it disappears"
Spencer and I had a few laughs but after a few shots I began to continuously ask him questions about random facts which he obviously knew the answers of.
"So...how many people do you recon are in this club right now" I put my hands on his shoulders, starting at him dead in the eyes and putting on a serious face like it was a serious question.
Spencer calmly looked around, then back to me "around 1,200"
"Interesting.." I nodded releasing my hands from his shoulders and stroking my chin wisely.
I may or may not be a bit drunk right now..
"Isn't it funny how out of all the 1,200 people here I still find you, Dr Spencer Reid, the best?" I tilted my head, studying his eyes to see if he had any signs of showing he wasn't interested.
Just as Spencer was about to reply, JJ came over to us, looking rather pissed off.
"We got a case."
