Quantico , Virginia , 2005

Cases soon began to become a blur and all began to merge together to create some sort of horror movie for my brain to make into nightmares. The nightmares were the worst part of the job, every night, sometimes even during the day.

Christmas of 2004  came and passed, I spent it with Evan and his, now Fiancée. My birthday then passed, spent with a ice-cream and watching movies with Garcia and JJ. It was extremely hard to find time to make friends outside of work, so I just kept my friends within my work circle.

I also, may have developed feelings for Spencer Reid. But I don't really know what the 'feelings' are.  Sure, I enjoy his company and feel the need to impress him but that doesn't necessarily mean I like him. Plus, he hasn't made any effort to compliment me or make a move so he probably doesn't like me anyway.

Apparently, before I joined the team, Spencer had a mentor, Jason Gideon, but he sent a swat team into a building and the building was bombed or something. No one really talks about it, but I've grasped the little pieces together.

Jason Gideon is supposedly ready to be in the field again, so he is joining our team today.

I asked JJ about Gideon because she was working here when he was, she told me that he was a very honest man and wouldn't hesitate to speak up about you if you did something wrong. Great.

A new girl is also joining our team soon but nobody really knows about her..I think she worked in sex crime or something like that but nobody's talking about her.

It was extra sunny today on the drive in to work, I hummed along to one of my favorite cds from The Smiths, 'the queen is dead'.

When I got into work, Spencer  was already gone to get Gideon and brief him on our newest case. The 'Seattle Strangler'.

Stepping through the door, Morgan ran up to me. "We gotta go meet Gideon, he might need a lot of convincing to get on this case with us."

Hotch briefed Derek and I on the case in the car and then began to tell us about how strong Hayley must be to carry the baby along for so long.

We got down to where Spencer and Gideon were in some office and rushed in after Hotch.

"You're gonna be with us in Seattle ASAP" Hotch commanded Gideon in his assertive voice, while still walking in.

Gideon looked...older than I thought.  He had a college professor look to him and had a shocked s face on while looking at the picture of Heather Woodland that Derek was holding up.

I stepped over to Spencer who was in the corner keeping a eye on Gideon like he was going to run away if he didn't.

"Before she left for lunch she downloaded a email with a time-delayed virus attached. The killers virus wiped her hard drive and left this on the screen"  Hotch explained while I tapped Spencer on the shoulder causing him to look down towards me.

"Hey, Aoife"  he whispered and smiled then just as I was about to ask if everything was ok, he nodded back to Gideon who was reading the letter out loud.

"For heaven sake. Catch me before I kill more. I cannot control myself" Gideon read out loud, turning and walking away slowly.

On the wall in his office there was a picture from the lipstick killer with the exact same quote on a wall, written in lipstick.

"He never keeps them for more than seven days which means, we have fewer than 36 hours to find her" hotch concluded when Gideon turned back around. Gideon must've only noticed me then because he began to stare at me like he was trying to see into my soul.
