Two weeks. It had been two weeks since Dipper and Mabel arrived back in Gravity Falls and Grunkle Stan and Ford haven't said a thing about what they were currently after. Despite having shown them his journal filled with what he and Mabel have found without them, they still claimed that the current creature is dangerous.

Mabel was out today, Grenda and Candy had returned for the summer as well, leaving the star-marked boy alone in the cluttered attic they shared. Groaning, Dipper sits up throwing the plush blue blanket that laid over him off. Stepping carefully over another one of Mabel's unfinished sweaters, he swipes the blue-covered journal with a silver pine tree off the shelves lined against the wall and opened the door, flinching as it makes a very loud screeeeak.

As he climbs down the rickety steps he begins to hear Grunkle Stan and Ford arguing. Again. Dipper rolled his eyes with a small huff as he reached the floor, turning into the conversation in front of him.

"-een them Stanley. Their wings drag along the ground for goodness sake! How is that now a dangerous creature?" Ford shot back at his twin, who rolled his eyes and took a step forward, poking his brother in the chest and causing him to stumble back.

"Ford, they haven't even done anything yet! And the last time you saw one of these was what? 35 years ago?" Stan gave an annoyed sigh, eyes widening being the first to spot Dipper. At the bottom of the steps. The sudden change in expression confused Ford.

"Stanley what are-" He stops mid-sentence as Dipper cleared his throat. "Ah- Dipper, sorry are we blocking your way?" Ford asked, stepping aside so Dipper could get passed if needed.

"What's dangerous, Ford?" Dipper asked, unfazed by the older twin's previous squabble. He opened up his own journal, grabbing a pen from his pocket.

"Nothing kid. Sixer is just on edge," Stan responded to the question, which caused Ford to glare.

"Manly Dan reported seeing a winged teen out in the forest. A small clan of Avians lived up on the mountains when I first arrived," He explains as dipper rushes to right this new information down. "And they are dangerous because thousands of years ago they had sided with Bill when he liberated his home." Ford explained, causing Dipperto gasp in surprise.

Dipper thought for a moment, beginning to chew on the end of his pen before he spoke. "But, they were here when Bill was trying to take over?" He questioned as the younger Grunkle let out a victorious 'Ha!'

"That is what I've been trying to tell Ford!" He exclaims, point a finger at his brother. "This one believes that they are still working with him. Which is bull, especially seeing as the clan left once the whatever apocalypse ended." Stan exclaims to them both, right as the door slams open startling the three of them.

"I'm home with glitter!" Mabel shouts, throwing a handful before noticing the startled expression of her brother and grunkles. "What the hey hey happened?" she questions, as Dipper ran and grabs her by the shoulder.

"Ford and Stanley think a thing with wings that worked with Bill is here but Grunkle Stan disagrees," Dipper explained quickly, then coughs having accidentally breathed in some glitter. Placing her bag down, Mabel shakes her head before a sharp squeal escapes her.

"You're saying I can have a friend who flies?!" She screeches in her brother's face who just nods, blinking and taking a step back.

"No," Ford says abruptly, Stanley rolling his eyes behind him. "Until we know what they are planning, neither of you interact with the Avian." Ford states as now the younger twins roll their eyes in response.

"Dipper-" Stan starts suddenly, "Aren't you and Mabel headed to the diner?" Stan asks, causing Ford to furrow his eyebrows as the twins make a face of realization.

"Oh yeah- Mabel remember the plans we made yesterday for it?" He asks, pushing his sister back out the front door and towards the woods they've grown familiar with.

Oncee Dipper was sure they were out of earshot, he turns to Mabel, a smile spreading across his face. "I think this is a job for the mystery twins!" Dipper cheers jokingly as his sister rolls her eyes at him, giggling.

"I thought you hated that name?" she questioned, as Dipper shrugs, opening up his journal to the page he half haphazardly scribbled notes about the avian on.

"So, Ford says they hang out in the mountains, I'm guessing higher than the minotaurs" Dipper said as he began chewing the end of his pen again. He looks towards his twin. "What do you think?"

Now it was Mabel's turn to shrug. "I dunno. But it would be nice to fly up the mountain instead of walk." She commented as a laugh rang out above them. Both yelpedas a creaturejumped down from a branch a few feet above them, wings half-open helping with a smooth decent

"You might think that now, wait until you gotta clean them." The teen states, as they move their (h/l) (h/c) out of their eyes.

Dipper and Mabel stand there, mouths hanging open taking in the creature before them. The thing before them surelylooked human, other than the pair of dark feathered wings behind them. Mabel was the first to stop gawking.

"You have WINGS!" She screeches, bouncing over to the newfound friend who instead of accepting the hug, backs away.

"No- Nope. I don't do hugs." The Avian stared down at the twins as Dipper finally spoke.
"Do you have a name?" he asks, walking up to stand next to Mabel, placing his hand on his shoulder so she wouldn't attack hug the avian in front of them.
