"We're supposed to pick up Navin at Eight O'clock. We're late." Y/n and Emily's mother, Karen Hayes, said.

Emily giggled softly when Y/n smiled. Y/n is 13 years old, 3 years older than Emily. She had red hair with brown eyes and a happy personality. Y/n is calm and protective of her siblings, like a mother protecting her cubs.

"We have plenty of time -- At least half an hour" Y/n and Emily's father, David replied. It was 7:45 pm and we were late, about 15 minutes.

"I think dad just lives in an alternate universe," Y/n said, and Emily giggled.

"Time moves slower there." David said.

"That certainty would explain a few things." I looked out the window and saw some lights.

"I'm sure Navin won't mind playing video games for a few minutes longer, honey." David said, and I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, dad, I get to play a game when we get there, right?" Emily asked, and I sat up.

"Sit dow,  Emily." Karen said.

"Mmhmm." David replied.

"Okay, cool." Emily says and looks at me. Emily smiled, and I looked at her.

"Y/n, we get to play a game when we get there." Emily said.

"I don't know, it's already late. By the time we get home, it'll be past eleven." Y/n replied, and Karen nodded in agreement.

"You're right, Y/n." David said with a sigh.

"Hear that, Emily? We'll have to postpone our game till next time." Emily sat back down and pouted.

"Aww." She said, and Y/n hugged her.

"David-" Karen was cut off.

"I see it. The guy's not paying attention to his high beams." David replied.

"I can't believe this." Y/n held Emily close in a protective position. A honk went off, and we saw a man standing there.

"David! Lookout!" Karen shouted.

"Hold on!" David shouts and drove off the cliff. They rolled down the snowy mountain. Emily was screaming in fear. They stopped moving and found themselves on the edge of a cliff.

"Karen, are you okay?" David asked and looked at his wife.

"My nose is hurt. Emily, Y/n. What about Emily and Y/n?!" Karen said, worried.

"Emily, Y/n!" David said.

"We're fine, dad." Y/n said, and he sighed in relief.

"Okay, I want you guys to climb out of there and come out the front." David said, and they took their seatbelts off. Emily climbed out first and then Y/n.

"That's it. Just keep moving." David said.

"Get away from the car." Y/n grabbed Emily and pulled her back.

"Karen, now you." Karen climbed out. Y/n and Emily helped her out, and David groaned.

"Dad! Give me your hand!" Y/n said and held out her hand to her father.

"Y/n, I can't. My legs are stuck under the dashboard." He replied. The car was tipping, and Y/n was in tears.

"Dad, just give me your hand. Please." Y/n says.

"Y/n. you'll need help." David said.

"Mom! Dad's stuck!!" Emily shouted, and Karen got down on her knees.

"David?! You need to get out of there right now!" Karen said.

"Karen, my legs are stuck. We need someone to pry me out of here....get help." David replied.

"David, we don't have time!!" Karen said.

"The car's tipping!!" Karen said, worried. Y/n and Emily ran to the back of the car and tried to stop it from tipping.

"Just give me your hand!!!" Karen shouted. David groaned again and reached out.

"I can't move!!! I can't do it, Karen." David said.

"You're gonna to have to try!!" Karen replied.

"No!!!" Emily shouted, and the car was still tipping, making Y/n and Emily lift up from the ground.

"Karen. Let go." David said.

"David!!!" Karen shouted.

"You need to look after Emily and Y/n." David replies. Y/n and Emily had to let go and run to their parents.

"Mom! Dad! Get out!!" Emily and Y/n yelled out. David and Karen's hands were slipping, and they had to let go. Y/n and Emily pulled their mother back and watched the car fall off the cliff. Karen hugged Emily with tears in their eyes while Y/n watched in disbelief.

"DAD!!!"
