I was waiting for Navin to come into the command center so we can call mom. Navin walked in amd had a smile on his face. "Finally. You're still slow." I said to him. Navin glared at me and Emily giggled. She called mom and she picked up. "Emily?! Navin! Y/n! My babies!! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" Mom asked. "I'm a little shaken up but we're fine mom." I replied. "We're about to send troops into the city of Lucien to look for a communications beacon." Emily explained. "Sending? Sending who?" Mom asked. "They're sending us, mom." Navin replied. "What! No! They can't do that!! Tell them to go by themselves!" Mom replied. I shook my head and sighed.

"Emily, Y/n, it's Leon. If we spend toonkuch time looking for help, we will all be compromised. We need to act quickly on our own." Leon said. "We know, Leon. We don't agree with their plan. But we're not the ones in charge." Emily replied. "As stonekeepers, you are required to be a leader. And not making decisions can prove to be the worst decision of all." Leon said. "I need to get going. I'll see you later." I said. "Y/n, be careful please. I don't want to loose any of my family." Mom said. "Don't worry, mom. I'll be alright." I replied. "Y/n has a boyfriend to look after her, mom. Don't worry." Navin said with a snicker. I slapped the back of Navin's head and he groaned. "Alright. Just be careful. Love you!" Mom said. "Love you too, mom" I replied and I wakked out of the command center and went to find Trellis.

I found them in their room playing a game. I walked over and wrapped my arms around Trellis's shoulders. "Hello Y/n." Lugar said. "What are you playing?" I asked. "A game of othello." Trellis replied. "Basically a game of chess?" I said and they looked at me funny. "Oh, that's right. Different world, different things." I said and sighed. "Okay, Lugar. I might be the worst othello player you ever went up against, but I think I got you this time." Trellis said with pride. "This one is over, brother. You lose!" I snickered quietly and knew Lugar's next move. "This is why I like this game. So I can see the face you're making now..." Lugar trailed off and won the game. "And make it go away." I burst out laughing and Trellis was looking at the board in disbelief.

"I can't believe you won! That's impossible!" Trellis said. "If there's one thing you taught me, little brother, it's that you're never too late to turn things around." Lugar said. Trellis sighed and I smiled. "Don't worry, Trellis. There's always next time." I said to him. "I guess you're right." He replied and a robot wa loo ked in. "Pardon me, ma'am and gentlemen. Your presence is required in the loading bay." The robot said. Trellis stood up and grabbed my hand. Lugar walked out and we walked to the loading bay. We saw Navin talking to Cogsley and Dagno. "Why are these fools not sending you on this mission? You're the most qualified!" Trellis said. "None of these children have any real experience on the battlefield. You're the only one with expertise!"

"Trellis is right. You need to take control of the situation, commander." Luger replied. "Stop calling me that." Navin said. "I failed all the tests! I don't deserve to be called a commander." I was annoyed now. "Tests?! What tests?! I could of helped you with them! You ding dong dummy!" I yelled out. Navin did a nervous laugh and I hit the back of his head again. "Deserve? Who said this was a prize to be won? Ut is your duty!" Lugar said. "Frankly, I feel sorry for you. It is an utterly terrible responsibility." My stone then glowed. "Talk to me." I said but there was no answer. "What's wrong?" Trellis asked. "My stone isn't talking to me. The stone must sense something." I replied. "Emily must have the voice in her stone." Trellis said. I nod and everything shook. Everyone was panicking and running around. "We need to get to Emily and Vigo." Trellis said, I nod and we went to find the other stonekeepers.

We found Emily and Vigo and also Logi. "My master offers his condolences for all collateral damage he has incurred. He also extends an invitation to all stonekeepers to join him on his vessel. He wishes to speak to you all in private. If you fail to comply, he will destroy everyone aboard this vessel." Logi said. "Doesn't sound like we have much of a choice." I said. "No. I suppose you really don't." Logi replied. Steps formed so we can get into the cylinder ball. "Please. After you." Logi said. Emily walked up to it first. "It is an honor to meet you, Emily and Y/n Hayes!" Logi cheered. We boarded and I stayed close to Trellis.

"Welcome back, master Trellis. It is good to see you again." Logi said to Trellis. Vigo boarded as well and stood next to Emily. "Vigo Light. What an honor! I'm a big fan. Excuse me if I seem nervous. Seeing the new guardian council with my own eyes! It's enough to make me shed a tear!" Logi said with a smile. The door closed and we were off. Trellis grabbed my hand and I glanced at him. 'Everything's going to be alright, Trellis' I thought and he glanced back at me with a nod. We arrived and the door opened.

"It's the prince!" An elf said. "He's a traitor!" Onother said. "Hang him!!" A third said. "Looks like you still have some fans." Emily said. I looked around and saw the elf army look terrible and sick. "Clear the way for our esteemed guests...the guardian council!" Logi said and the elves moved to the side. "Something's wrong here. Your people. They look sick." Vigo said. "The elf army has been in a state of turmoil since my father's passing. Thia is what it looks like from the inside." Trellis explained.

I felt bad for the elf army. Logi lead us to a room where Max and his creature was. I growled and my amulet glew. "Your guests have arrived, sir." Logi said. "Thank you, Logi." Max replied. "Your move, Max! Did you plan to take us all down at once?" Vigo asked. "If I wanted you dead, you wouldn't be here now. And before you start a fight, there is something you should know...this room is made of material that weakens the power of the stones. If we fight in here, we will have to engage in a hand-to-hand combat. It would be a battle of pure physical strength. And only I have a mountain giant." Max explained. "And I'm the one with a power that isn't weakened by this room." I said to Max. "Magic or no magic...we're not leaving out of here without a fight." Emily said. We were ready to fight Max and his Mountain giant no matter what.
