Your P.O.V
We walked in and saw a puzzle in the middle of the chamber. "According to the book, this island is some sort of beacon. This puzzle must have been placed here to test those seeking passage to the city." Leon explained. "How is all of this suspended in the air?" Emily asked. "The island and these rocks have been imbued with a special energy. It is the same energy that gives your stone its power." Lugar replied to Emily's question. "Emily. Trellis. Y/n. Let's begin." Leon said. "Hey Y/n. You ready to solve a new puzzle?" Emily asked with a grin trying to challenge me. "You bet." I replied with a smirk.I used my amulet to move two pieces together and moved another. "Very good. Now guide the peice together." Leon said to Emily. The piece she had didn't fit. "Er...Emily. turn them upside down." I said and she groaned. I took the piece and furned them upside down. "See, easy." I said and Emily shook her head. "Trellis. Guide that piece to that side and see what it does." I say to Trellis. He moved the final piece in and the puzzle started to glow and a beam was shot from the puzzle. "What happens now, chief?" Enzo asked Leon. "Now we wait." He replied. "Looks like we're late for the party." We turned around to see an unknown elf with our mother, pointing a gun at her head?!! "Mom!" Emily and I yelled out. "Stand back, stonekeeper's! This gun was made to kill your kind. You do not want to see what it does to the less fortunate." The elf warned.
"Personally, I'm more than a little cautious to see the results." The elf in the mask said. "That voice...I know that voice." Lugar said. "I have informed the elf king about the location of this beacon temple, so it is only a matter of time before the forces of Gulfen ravage Cielis once again. How does it feel to be responsible for the demise of the guardian council?" The elf said. "Y/n, Emily, I can get you maybe ten seconds." Trellis whispered. "What?" Emily responded. "You're nuts. But if it's something that can help our mother, I'm in." I replied. "I can protect your mother for a brief moment, leaving him open for an attack. You'll have enough time to strike him down." Trellis said.
"How do you intend to do that?" Emily asked. "Follow his lead ofcourse." I replied. "Ha! Ha! Come down, you guardian scum! We'll be ready!" The unknown elf shouted out. "That's it! I know who you are!" Lugar said. "You're the one who did this to me! You're the one who made me forget everything!" Lugar pointed to the unknown elf. "I was following your father's orders, Lugar." The elf said. "My father?" Lugar asked surprised. "Father?" Trellis and I asked at the same time. "Lugar's your brother?" Emily asked. "Oh, Lugar, you didn't know? I must have done a better job than I realized." The elf said. "Now, Emily and Y/n!" Trellis said and got our mother. "Right!" I replied. Emily and I struck the unknown elf down, he groaned in pain.
"Now stay back! Emily, Y/n and I will take care of this." Trellis said to the others. We looked at the unknown elf and he got up. "Is that all you've got, stonekeeper's?" The elf asked. He got a shield out and a knife out. Emily attacked him but the shield absorbed it. "It's absorbing their magic!" Lugar said. The elf attacked us, Trellis grabbed me and pushed me out of the way. "Thanks. I owe you one." I said. "Don't mention it." Trellis replys amd we stood up. "Emily! You alright?" I asked. "Yeah!" She replied. "It's his shield! Don't hit the shield!" Emily said. "I'll work my way around it!" Trellis said and attacked him. But went flying out of the temple. "Trellis!" I yelled out and turned to the elf.
Trellis's P.O.V
I was flying out of the temple and almost fell to my death. I grabbed a thick root and held on for dear life. I climbed up but was met with someone else. "Huh?" They then punched me in the face and grabbed my roughly.Your P.O.V
"You stonekeepers make me sick. Your special powers were simply given to you. You never had to earn them. And yet, you have difficulty defeating a simple elf. Despite your powers, you are easily outwitted." The elf said. Emily used her amulet and grabbed huge chunks of rock and made them collapse onto the elf. He was groaned in pain and I lifted him up. "You think you're in control. But you're not. The stone has its own agenda. And when it's finished with you...you will die like the rest." The elf said. "Not me. I have control over my stone. It follows my lead." I say to the elf and threw him out of the temple and off the cliff. We then heard clapping and people emerged from the dust that was around. "A very impressive showing, stonekeepers." A young man said. "Who are you?" Emily asked. "My name is Max Griffin. I will be your escort to Cielis." Max said. "Emily! Y/n!" Mom shouted. "Mom!" Emily said. "Duncan, release them." Max said. "And the elves?" He asked. "Tell your man to let them all go! They're with us." I said to Max. "You heard the lady's." Max said with a smirk. "But, sir, you can't be serious!" A soldier said. "Let Lugar and Trellis go. Now." I said coldly. The soldier let the elves go and I ran over to Trellis. "You alright?" I asked him. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just a bit beaten up." Trellis replied.
I grabbed his hands and held them close. "Is that better?" I asked with a smile. "Y-yeah. Thanks Y/n." Trellis replied with a small smile. "Come on. Let's go." I said and kept holding Trellis's hand. I blushed slightly and we walked onto the airships. Lugar followed behind. "Young love is beautiful." He said and I blushed a deep red. "Lugar, please don't." Trellis said to him. Lugar chuckled and Trellis sighed. Lugar went to find the others, leaving Trellis and I behind. "So..." I tried to start a conversation. "You really are trying to start a conversation, aren't you?" Trellis asked. "What no! Wait! Yes! What! Uhh!" I shuddered. Trellis laughed and I face planted. "Not funny!" I said and crossed my arms. "It sort of funny." Trellis replied and grabbed my hands. "Y/n. I'm so lucky to have you by myside. Please don't leave me." Trellis said and looked into my eyes. "I would never leave you, Trellis...I..um...how do I say this?" I said and was nervous.
"If you're trying to confess, it's not very good." Trellis said and chuckled. "How the heck do you know this!? Seriously! Do you read minds or something!!?" I asked Trellis and he kissed my head. "Love you too." He whispered and I hugged him, burying my face in his chest. "Idiot." I mumbled. Trellis grabbed me and spun me around. We laughed and wouldn't stop. "Trellis! Put me down before someone sees us!" I say to him. Trellis put me down and wrapped his arms around me. We noticed a portal and after a moment, we saw the city of Cielis. "Wow. It's amazing. I...I have no words." I say sadly. "Don't worry, love." Trellis replied with a smile. I blushed at the new nickname and saw mom and Emily walk over.
"Trellis, you hurt my sister. I'm going to strangle you." Emily threatened. "Y/n, Max told me that you won't have to go to this school Emily's going too, since he thinks you're ready to be part of this guardian council." Mom explained to me. "What? No way, I'm doing that crap!" I said annoyed. "I agree. I want to stay with Y/n." Trellis said and I smiled. I turned around and hugged him tightly. "No more hugs for me now." Mom said.
"Mom!!"
