"Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why" - Lana Del Rey
The next morning, Anastasia woke from the blinding sunlight streaming into her room. It was becoming increasingly warm, too warm. Stretching out, joints popping, she slowly became aware of the arm still wrapped around her middle. Squinting, she took in Jungkook's face on the pillow next to hers, but he wasn't the one holding her.
Oh.
Shifting so she was laying on her back, she lazily followed the arm around her to the strong body of one Kim Namjoon. Memories of last night flooded her brain.
Oh.
Suddenly panicked, she rolled onto her stomach and wormed her way down off the bed, careful not to wake anyone. In her absence, they both stretched out until they were comfortable.
When did Jungkook come back? When had she fallen asleep? More importantly, what was she going to do with the information that she was given last night?
Stressed, she forced the zipper of her dress down, not caring if it broke, and changed into a tank top and shorts. Moving to the bathroom to do her morning routine, she let her thoughts wander.
Lovers, he'd said. Well, that didn't exactly come as a surprise, but it did send a thrill through her at the thought of them all. At being with them all.
But was she ready for that commitment? Or rather, was she ready to try and make something so huge work? They'd known each other since they were young, things were bound to go more smoothly for them, while she'd barely met them a month ago. She'd be like a wrench thrown into a well-oiled machine.
How would it even work? Dating them? And if they dated, was she expected to uproot her life and move with them? She wasn't sure ready for that.
Sighing as she applied her moisturizer, she decided that that topic was a conversation she would need to have with all of them.
Inspecting her reflection in the bathroom mirror, she contemplated what to do next. The attraction she possessed towards them was undeniable and she was already way more involved with them than she'd ever planned. If she was going to break her heart, might as well do it thoroughly, right?.
Deciding to test the waters, a trial run if you will, she quietly left her apartment and headed towards Jungkook's. Pausing at his door, Namjoon's words from the night before echoed in her mind; "Have you noticed anyone...out of place, around?"
Tensing up, she turned around slowly, scanning what she could see of the parking lot. There were a couple people loitering around, but she had no way of knowing who they were or if they belonged. Everyone looked suspicious when you were paranoid.
Shaking off her nerves, she waltzed through the door, forgoing knocking. That confidence all the way to the living room where she tentatively entered. Taehyung had already noticed her, staring up wide-eyed from his spot on the floor in front of the TV. His hair was a mess like he'd just woken up, and he wore a super oversized white t-shirt that engulfed his entire frame.
Across the room, Jimin lay passed out on the couch, and she could hear someone else shuffling around in the kitchen.
"Good morning." She greeted, quietly with a shy smile.
"Did you come alone?" Taehyung questioned, getting up on all fours to try and peer around the couch and down the hall. His accent was much thicker with his rich morning voice, she noted.
Distracted by it, she stuttered out a confirmation.
Nodding mutely, he turned back to the TV where he'd been playing a game. Taehyung had a knack for keeping his expression stoic, she could rarely tell what he was thinking and it intimidated her.
