"It's pathetic, really, how much I still wish it was you and me in the end" - Idk

The food Anastasia had forced down her throat weighed heavy in her stomach as she listened to her captor talk. Kim Changwook as he'd introduced himself, CEO of some company she'd never heard of, the older brother of Kim Seokjin. Anastasia's head spun with the information.

"Wait, wait, brother?"

Changwook nodded and leaned back into the couch, "Yes, I see how that might be confusing to an outsider, but truly, it all makes sense if you know the whole story"

Anastasia didn't want to know the whole story. She wanted to go home and never see another man in her life.

"I realize this isn't an ideal situation for you, but you're the first weakness those seven have ever exhibited. They protect you, I've seen it," he leaned forward, a sardonic grin on his face, "I'm going to exploit that"

Her skin broke out in little bumps. Terrified to know the answer, she asked, "Then why did you take Jimin?"

"Don't be scared, I have no intention of harming you—"

"You drugged and kidnapped me," Her voice was small as she pointed out the discrepancy. She didn't want to come off confrontational.

He smirked, "Had to make it look good"

"You kept Jimin awake," she accused.

His face grew serious and he tilted his head curiously, "It was necessary"

She couldn't understand, "But why? Why take him at all? I get it, you want me to help you get the upper hand with them or something, but why Jimin? That's not a bond you're going to succeed in breaking"

Suddenly very quiet, he murmured, "They really haven't told you anything"

"No. They haven't. So let me go!"

"I'm still not sure how attached they are to you, Jimin is to make sure they come for you. If I keep you together, they'll take you both," He divulged.

Scowling, she sat up straighter, "You didn't have to do that to him, Jungkook would have come for me"

Changwook's gaze narrowed, his interest piquing. He didn't look surprised so much as fascinated. "Only Jungkook? How interesting"

Pulling back, suddenly feeling like she'd said too much, she explained, "I've known him the longest, he's my best friend"

"Best friend? I'd say he's more than that," Changwook smirked wolfishly.

A thought occurred to her. If there was a camera in the kitchen, there were likely cameras everywhere. Had this man seen her with Jungkook?!

"And despite knowing the truth about the fire, you still trust him so completely, you're even protective over Jimin," He said the name with disdain. He clearly had something against the smaller silver-haired man.

"Do you suppose I should trust you instead?" She sneered.

He smirked, "Do you have to trust anyone?"

She stayed quiet.

"Before you decide who to put your trust in, maybe you should understand the type of people they are because admittedly, you aren't the main reason we took Jimin. Seokjin is holding our father hostage, Jimin is leverage"

Eyes blowing wide, she shook her head, but he didn't give her the chance to argue, "Jimin is their smoke screen, so to speak. Korea's It Boy. He's cunning and very emotionally intelligent, he has everyone in that country fooled. But he's fragile, has a weak heart, and if he goes too long without his meds...anyway, it's the reason we couldn't sedate him"
