as much as you

"You were such a contradiction in my life. Nobody seemed to understand me and misunderstand me as much as you"

"Where's Jimin?" Anastasia asked a couple of hours later. She'd spotted everyone else throughout the day, coming and going, but not Jimin. The only one who should be there, resting.

Namjoon, who was sitting with her on the couch, eating dinner, turned on the TV like that was answer enough to her question.

Confused, she eyed the TV warily, watching the news, gasping quietly when Jimin's face popped up, illuminated by camera flashes. She watched anxiously as he walked out of a building she'd never seen before, flashing the cameras a blinding smile. A smile she knew was as fake as the one he used to give her.

He looked as stunning as ever if not a little underweight. But she knew that was because of his recent health scare.

"Why is he...?" She trailed off, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. It was all in Korean so she didn't understand a word that was said.

"Jimin's doing damage control, he's Korea's most loved public figure," Seokjin commented, walking into the room with more food he'd cooked up.

"Damage control?"

Seokjin shrugged, "Just keeping us all in the good graces of the public"

Anastasia frowned, still not truly understanding.

Unable to keep her eyes off the TV, she watched an old clip of Jimin doing an interview with the same woman on the news, looking the smallest and sweetest he'd ever looked. He was always beautiful, but there, he looked almost childlike.

She almost snorted, knowing how fake it all was. The Jimin she knew was a devious, little shit. Lovable all the same.

"Should he be out and about right now? He just got out of the hospital" She worried her bottom lip, glancing over at Seokjin, the only one that ever seemed to give her any truthful answers.

"He should be in bed," Seokjin agreed, "but you try telling him that"

That was a good point, Jimin was too stubborn to stay in bed.

Narrowing her gaze at the food in front of her, she began brainstorming ways to keep him home with her.

Turning to Namjoon, she held out her palm. "Give me your phone, I want to call Jimin"

Without question, he reached into his back pocket, unlocked it, and handed it over.

Scrolling through his contacts, she furrowed her brow when she realized it was all in Korean.

"Which one?" She asked, frustrated. She really needed to learn Korean.

Leaning over, Namjoon used his pinkie to scroll down until he clicked on the right name.

Putting the phone to her ear, she waited with bated breath, suddenly a little nervous.

" Yeoboseyo? " Jimin's deep voice came through the speaker.

"Jimin," She sniffled, feeling the tears well in her eyes.

"Jagiya? What's wrong? Are you alone?" His tone changed to one of deep concern.

"You need to come back. I just...I'm worried, what if something happens? I need you here" She demanded. Sure she was playing up the emotions a little bit, but guilting him was the only way she could think to keep him safe and healthy.
