Jimin's POV

As days passed, we finally got our own Instagram accounts and I guess Instagram almost broke from all the followers we got within seconds. I was surprised to see many people using Instagram. It's really hard to do anything with this app. I prefer using Weverse more.

But something we never expected happened. Yoongi and Namjoon arrived in Korea after spending their time in LA for a while but unfortunately, Yoongi got infected with COVID. I got shivers down my spine when I got to know about the terrible news.

And then Namjoon and Jin got in contact with the virus too. I got worried about my other members so I decided to check on them too. Luckily, they were okay and they were staying healthily; while I wasn't.

I was not feeling well for a while. I had these annoying cramps on my lower right abdomen all the time. I had them when we were performing at AMA's and 4-day concerts too. But they never got this bad back then. I wondered what could be the reason. As I was on a diet back then, I thought it could be due to that reason.

Somehow, thankfully, at the beginning of 2022, Yoongi, Jin, and Namjoon recovered from the virus. They said it felt like a cold, except for Yoongi. He said he felt terrible even though he tried to reassure the fans telling them that he was fine. I was glad they got recovered quickly.

Meanwhile, my condition got even worse. My stomach cramps got even more painful whenever I start to get them. I was getting a little concerned but never thought about visiting a doctor. I think that must be the biggest mistake I've ever done in my life. I should have gone to visit a doctor soon before everything got serious.

On January 30th afternoon, let me tell you, I felt like suffocating.

I was feeling under the weather for two days and this time I constantly got cramps. I had a sore throat and the energetic me was feeling so weak. I couldn't get out of the bed. I didn't have cramps all the time before. It was hard for me to bear the pain. I cried and rolled on the bed. My parents immediately decided to take me to the hospital.

On our way to the hospital, something unexpected happened. I felt something bursting or stabbing me in my lower right abdomen. I couldn't help but give out an ear-piercing yelp in pain. I never felt anything like this before. Worry was written all over my parents' faces. I didn't mean to make them worry; I just couldn't bear the pain anymore. I'd pass out if I try to bear it.

When we arrived at the hospital, the paramedics quickly loaded me on a stretcher and took me to the emergency room. On my way there, I felt light-headed and I knew what was about to happen. I knew I can't stop it from happening. As I was feeling nauseous, my vision went black.

Taehyung's POV

I and other members are currently at our homes. Jimin was not feeling very well for some time so I was worried about him. We'd normally take a call to each other at least once a day but he didn't even contact me the last few days. His phone was switched off too. Even though he had my father's number, I didn't have his parent's number.

Suddenly, I got a call from an unknown number. When I answered it, I immediately recognised that voice. It was Jimin's mom. But her voice was filled with worry and sadness. I started to feel weird.

"Taehyung-ah, something bad happened. Jiminie is in the hospital now. His stomach cramps got worst and he passed out while throwing up on his way to the emergency room. We still don't know what's wrong with him. But I'm worried. If you can please come quickly."

Her words left me speechless. Jimin is at the hospital? Was his condition that serious?

Without any second thought, I got ready to head to Busan. My mind was full of thoughts, and none of them were positive ones. I shrugged my thoughts off and tried to clear my mind to get ready to meet Jimin. When I entered the hospital, Jimin's parents and his brother were sitting in front of the emergency room. It was already morning. Jimin's mom was crying on her hands while Jimin's father and brother were zoning out. Their eyes were filled with tears. My heart started to pound faster, thinking about what could have happened to Jimin.

I asked Jimin's mom about Jimin's condition, and I think my heart stopped beating.

"Jimin got acute appendicitis. It was almost about to burst. He's going under surgery at the moment. What's, even more, worse is that he got COVID too..."

I wanted to cry. He doesn't deserve to go through all of this. He's a kind person. Why is it always the better people have to face these hardships? I sank onto the bench next to me and finally let out all the emotions I managed to control on my way to Busan. Jimin's brother sat beside me and hugged me. Just like me and Jimin, his brother is also close to me. As he's the same age as Jungkook, I find him adorable.

After waiting for hours, the doctor finally came outside and updated us about his condition. Thankfully Jimin was doing alright. Of course, we weren't allowed to meet him as he got contacted with the virus. I got worried because the virus can make their immune system weak. But the doctor said they have decided to give him fluids to help him regain his energy during his recovery process so he can cope with the virus while recovering from the surgery too.

I finally felt relieved after receiving the good news. Jimin's family went back home to stay under quarantine as they stayed near Jimin when he was feeling unwell. I took a rapid antigen test and it tested negative. I didn't want to leave the hospital, but I knew it'll be useless to stay there. So I went back to Daegu while praying for Jimin's speedy recovery.

Jimin's POV

As soon as I opened my eyes, the white ceiling made me blind. I hissed at the brightness and kept my eyes closed until it's used to the light. What made me even more confused was when I heard... beeping noises? Those noises we hear inside the hospitals? That's when I remembered everything that happened...

Oh.

My stomach cramps are gone now. Well, more like I can't feel my stomach at all. I felt all drowsy and weird. I didn't know why. Just then, a doctor came into my room wearing a green suit with a clipboard in his hand.

"How are you feeling Mr. Jimin?"

"I'm feeling fine, but can you tell me why I can't remember anything that happened since I came to the hospital? How long have I been here? And by the way, just call me Jimin."

"Don't worry, you're all fine. You came to the hospital in a hurry and I'm glad they did bring you here soon before everything got serious. You were diagnosed with acute appendicitis but don't worry, we removed it via laparoscopy. And I'm sorry to say, you've got COVID too."

I mentally facepalmed myself when everything started to make sense. I knew about appendicitis since Yoongi got it years ago. And obviously, everyone knows about COVID and its symptoms. I got worried that COVID might affect my immune system when I'm under-recovery but the doctor said they'll give me fluid and other medicines to me to remain strong while beating the virus and recovering from the surgery.

A few moments later, I got a call. I thought it would be Taehyung or one of my parents, but it was none other than Yoongi hyung.

"Hey Jiminie, how are you feeling? Taehyung told me everything."

"Hey hyung, don't worry. I feel better now. I suffered a lot with those cramps before."

"Yeah, I feel you. I had the same feeling when I got appendicitis."

"But hyung, you were braver than me. You flew back to Korea from Japan while having those stomach cramps!"

"It was not easy. I couldn't bear the pain at all. You did the right thing in going to the hospital on time before it was too late. I got worried when Taehyung said you threw up before passing out."

"I think my appendix almost burst in the car. I couldn't bear the pain anymore and I always felt nauseous but I tried to hold it."

"Jimin, you could have let it out. It's not good to keep them in at that time."

"It's all over now hyung. Don't worry, I'll focus more on my recovery now."

"Yes, you should. By the way, COVID isn't a big thing. You'll get recovered soon. I know that. With the strong medicine you get from the hospital, your condition won't get worse as you think. So cheer up, okay?"

"Okay hyung. Thank you for checking on me!"

"Of course, we're a family after all."

Both of us laughed and ended our conversation. Next, Taehyung took a call and made sure I'm doing fine. Just like that, one by one all the members took calls to me, as well as my parents.

On February 5th, I got recovered from COVID and got discharged from the hospital too. All the family members greeted me with warm hugs and kisses and I rested at home while getting recovered fully.
