"But mother, I don't want to spend my morning with another girl! Y/n is the only girl I'll play with!" Malleus complained as Titania dragged him to the castle playroom.
Titania sighed for what felt like the hundredth time. Once they were in front of the playroom doors, Titania knelt at her son's level. "Malleus, you are the young prince of this land. That means you're the heir to the throne, and you'll take your father's place as the next Faery King. and that means that you'll have to do... certain things for the sake of the kingdom. Even small things like playing with a new person who just happens to be a girl from our neighboring kingdom. Now you see, it's good to make friends with all types of people. You never know how they could help you out of bad situations someday."
Malleus pouted, unsatisfied with his mother's words.
"Besides," Titania started again, "You do know Y/n won't be beside you forever, right? Once you're old enough to take care of yourself, I mean. And I just really want to see you have a relationship- I mean friendship! Please, baby, do this for your mama, hm?"
Titania tried to use 'cuteness' to get Malleus to cave, which did not affect him, but he agreed to go anyways just for his mother's approval.
She clapped her hands together in joy, "Right then, off you go!" With that, she pushed Malleus into the room and left.
Malleus took in his surroundings. Toys... toys... a chair... a girl. Malleus walked towards the little girl, he wasn't as interested in becoming her friend, but still wanted to make his mother proud.
