I rose up from my sleep and the sky was cloudy, the breeze picked up strength and speed and it was now a strong wind. I quickly got up and checked the time, 11:45, shit! I thought to myself I overslept!. I grabbed my backpack as I saw a bolt in the distance, the sky was quickly rolling into black. The flowers were being shaken violently and the trees were being disheveled in the distance. I left the field quickly because having lightning and being on flat land are death. I ran on the side of the road that led into the city, still on flat land so I ran fast. My phone started to ring. It was my father

"Dad?!" I screamed into the phone.

"Where are you?" He asked angrily.

"I am on my way to the Palace." I said

"It's starting to look bad out there, I'll send someone for you." He said

"No, its okay, I am in the city already, I'll be there quickly."

"Alright then son, hurry up. I have to talk to you."

"Okay dad."

I kept running very quickly as the droplets of rain started to fall into my face. Lightning bolt, thunder, a rhythmic pattern. I was barely running under the highway that led to the palace when the rain started to fall in a waterfall. I was getting completely soaked and I could barely make out the shadow of the palace through this rain. I finally got there and I ringed on the doorbell. Cindy opened the door for me,

"Oh Carlos what happened?"

"I was out and the rain caught up to me. I got here as fast as I could."

"I will bring you a towel," Cindy said,"wait here, I will tell the others to prepare you a warm bath."

"No, i'll just take a quick shower, but if you could call my father."

"Sure no problem."

I sat on one of the cushion chairs in the entrance lounge, the people were in the hallway, chatting while the storm passed, I stayed there resting, tired for running continuously for a good 20 minutes.

"Son," My father came in, "you alright?"

"Yes, dad, I am just trying to catch my breath," I said and he handed me the towel.

"Where were you, I woke up and you were gone."

"I went to take a walk around the city." I said.

"You went to the Forbids right?" He eagle-eyed me, and I nodded. He put a hand on his forehead and said, "wow, you're very stubborn." He chuckled.

"No, I'm not stubborn, I'm just like my dad." I laughed and he followed me.

"But, I never left my house without saying so."

"Well guess who is a rebel then." I said

"But don't leave again, just tell me if you're gonna go."

"Okay." I said.

"Now go take a shower and change your clothes, you're getting my chair wet." He laughed and I purposely shook the water off my hair in the chair.

"Get outta here." He said laughing and threw me a cushion, he missed and I ran down the hall into my room to take a shower.

I sat down at the table for lunch with my dad. "What did you want to talk about?" I asked my dad.

"Oh, yes." He cleared his throat, "I planned the prep day for the battle with the Master Town, Mark and I talked about it before he left."
