I hear my father's work boots coming towards my bedroom, he always takes me to school on his way to work. My grandfather is downstairs preparing breakfast and getting himself ready to work also. They both work at the Agricultural Farm Southeast of the Third Town. Why doesn't my mother wake me up or prepare breakfast? It's because she died at work when the field she worked in flooded after a nearby dam broke after heavy rain. I was only 5 years old and I haven't forgotten my mother, my father says to let her go but I just can't forget about someone who I was really close to.
I dress up and come downstairs, I say goodbye and get to school.
I am a very quiet person. I don't talk to many people and I only hang out with my cousins.
When I enter the door to the classroom, I find Hulk, my cousin crying. "What's wrong?" I ask
"My mother, she died today in the morning." He says with eyes full of tears.
"What happened?!" I ask in surprise.
"Remember I told you she had the Swine Flu?" He questions.
"Yes, I do" I answer.
"Well, she grew worse overnight and her heart just...stopped" Hulk cried.
"Dude, I am really sorry, is there anything I can help with?" I proposed.
"Can you bring my mom back?!" He shouted and barged out the door.
The next day, I saw Hulk and he apologized, I know what he has been through, so I forgave him. He feels much better now, and I try not to talk about his mom much. He keeps talking but I don't listen, I keep looking into the distance, to the Forbidden Ground. I remember Hulk's mom would take us there after my mother died, she told us about our story.
