Four Days Later
Prep Day ended today. It only took us two days. We have a vast and complete inventory of weapons, ammo, battle vehicles, and one deadly, dangerous and destructive weapon, the X-Terminator. A weapon so accurate at killing and destruction, fast. We have 12 of those, Mark acquired them secretly from the Master Town about 6 months ago, they were secret and hidden in the shaft in the forest. The weapons have a wide range for killing and destroying aircraft. Equipped with bullets, missiles and electronic shocks, the weapon can detect a flying aircraft and completely destroy it as it crashes to the ground. Six were placed on the rooftops of the average sized buildings in downtown, another 2 on the hills that are entrance to the city, four are in inventory. The weapons are controlled from the shaft by trained operators. Fire arms and another weapons are scattered around downtown, waiting to be fired in two days. People have their battle armor, and machine guns as precaution. We have hovercraft, equipped with a beacon that tells the X-Terminator that we are the good side (something the Master Town doesn't know.) They are on hold until we decide that they are absolutely necessary. We are ready and set and just waiting on the attack. Bring it on.

I was driving home with my dad. We drove on the side of highway 23 around downtown, probably our last view of the complete set of buildings, because in two days half could be scattered on the ground and another half on fire, but for now I'll just enjoy. Same with the forest around the city, green for as long as I can remember. Cherry blossoms circling the greater city area. Oaks in the middle, some pines around the Worker Sector. Birch trees in the distance. There were also fruit trees but those were in the Forbids, the best fruits I've ever had were collectively coloring those trees. I looked outside the window, calm was all I saw. Everyone was tired, two days of relentlessly preparing and finally we were done. I was exhausted and all I wanted was food and a shower.
"Dad, will you be on combat or what will you do?"
"Well, I'll be commanding our soldiers, from the control center. I'll be supervising the operators of the X-Terminators and all that stuff."
I was gonna fight. I will be on combat commanding my group. This was our first actual confrontation with the Leader's soldiers. We didn't know what could happen, they didn't know either. We didn't know their attack techniques and they didn't know ours either. In one day we will find out. It could go two ways, good or bad.
"Dad how many soldiers will the Leader be sending?" I asked
"I don't exactly know, but he won't send all the ones he has, so I would say about 4,000"
"And how many do we have?"
"We fall just short of 3,500" he said "counting ours and the men from the destroyed towns."
The Leader outnumbered us by about 500, it was not much but it could make a difference.
We pulled over at the palace at around 9:30, I was completely exhausted by then, but I still took a 40 minute long shower, just there contemplating my thoughts trying to fix them into plans and solutions. I gave up, my mind was full of thoughts but they didn't fall into place so I just fell into by bed and sunk into a deep sleep.
