Double Celebration Ride

Tan ! Tan !

The bell rang , and our 5 years old Ashi started packing her school bag.
She hung her bottle around her neck and started walking.

Someone - Happy Birthday Ashi , once again !

A- thank you miss.

Teacher - beta, aapke parents aa gye kya !?

A - miss , main vahi jaa rhi ho.

T - oh okay baby. Bye !

A - bye miss.

The teacher left and Ashi walked towards the gate.
She looked up and saw her mumma papa standing at opposite sides.

She folded her hands and looked first towards Karan and then towards Monami .
She got confused and facepalmed her.

Karan came and picked her up in his arms.

K - happy birthday Ashi !

He kissed her cheeks , while Monami too came and stood besides her .

M(frowning)- baby , aapne paani nhi piya ?

Ashi pouted ,

A - mumma , time hi nhi mila.

M- Ashi , maine kaha tha na aapko water bottle finish honi chahiye.
Chalo ab piyo paani.

Karan opened the cap and made her drink water. She gulped down the water at once .

After that , Karan put her down ,

K - chalo baby , chalte hai.

A - yes papa.

M- baby ,come here . Hum chalte hai.

Ashi got confused looking at both of them , and then folded her arms

A - mumma , papa stop. Aap kyu ladd rhe ho ?

M- baby , yeh toh aap apne papa se pucho. Huh !?

K - kya papa se pucho . Maine kaha tha na ki main time par pahunch jaunga.

M- aur tumhe itna kya tha , jo aaj hi ke dinn tumhe aapne friend se milne jaana tha !?

K - Vapis aa toh gya na main. Jaisa maine kaha tha maine kiya.

Monami turned to the other side , folding her hands.

A day ago :

K - Monami , mera friend aa rha hai , mujhe usse milne jaane hai kal .

M - Karan , tum kal nhi jaa sakte , kal Ashi ka birthday hai.

K - ha main jaanta ho. Main kal directly Ashi ke school pahunch jaunga. Tum chinta mat karo.

M - Karan , yeh kya tarika hai yaar ?

K - arré , aa jaunga main kal.

M - thik hai , tumhe jo karna hai karo. main tumhe kuch nhi kehni wali. Par mujhse baat karne ki koshish bhi mat karna.

K - Monami , Monami !

She left the room.

Present time :

M - Ashi , tum mere saath chalo . Hum apni scooty par chalte hai. Jisko aana hoga voh aa jayenga , hum nhi jaane wale uske saath uski jeep me.

She said , taking Ashi along with her.

K(in mind) - yeh Rani sahiba , aise toh nhi manene wali. Chal , Karan iske saath hi chale ja.

Monami came and sat on the scooty , made Ashi stand in the front and was waiting for Karan to come. She seemed disinterested and looked at her watch again and again.

Karan looked at her in disbelief.
He came and sat behind her.

She started her scooty. The drive was silent , Karan was mesmerized seeing Monami. She looked so carefree. Her hair flew on his face , and he enjoyed his view.

A - brrrr ! Brrrrr !!! Peeep peeep !

She started making sounds , while acting to drive.

M - Ashi , baby kya kar rhe ho . Dhyaan se pakdo. Gir jaaonge.

A - okay mumma !

She then looked forward , when she felt two hands embracing her stomach. He kept his head on her neck and smelled her fragnance , which sent shiver to her body.

Monami looked at Karan's face through the mirror , and stared at him.

K - kya ? Tumhi ne toh kaha dhyaan se pakdo. Bas vahi toh kar rha ho.

She scrunched her eyes and then looked forward. Her cheeks covered a tint of redness , and lips covered with a beautiful smile.
Karan smiled looking at her face .

They then stopped at a bakery.

M - Ashi , aao hume cake lene jaana hai.

A- yes mumma ! Main sabse big cake lungi.

K- okay baby.

At the bakery ,

M - excuse me , hume cake ke designs dekhne hai.

A- mumma ,mujhe yeh Barbie wala cake chahiye.

M - yeh !

A - ha mumma.

Monami stared at Karan while he looked at the other side.
Ashi's love for Barbie had grown up to such an extent that she looked for Barbie everywhere. It was all because of Karan , he told her stories related to Barbie , which created a separate and special corner for Barbie in her heart.

M - baby, koi aur lete hai na . Dekho itne pyaare pyaare designs bhi hai.

A- no mumma , mujhe yehi chahiye.

M- baby!

K - Monami ! It's okay na , usse jo lena hai lene do. It's her day today . Let her enjoy.

M - Karan , tum na isse bigaad rhe ho.

K- usse daantne ke liye koi hai , toh bigaadne ke liye bhi koi hona chahiye na.

A - mumma , please na mujhe chahiye.

M - okay baby !

After a while ,

They reached back home after a while.

Ashi ran towards her house , while Karan took Ashi's bag and was heading towards the house.

Monami was behind him , when she suddenly felt dizziness and held Karan's arm.

K - Monami , Monami ! Tum thik toh ho na !? Kya hua ?

Monami stood there and started counting on her fingers , while Karan was confused.
She then gave Karan the keys , and asked him to start the scooty.

K - kya ?

M - kya, kya !? Main thoda samaan lana bhul gyi , hume pharmacy shop par jaana hai.

K - arré , birthday ka saaman toh main ustaad ji se keh kar mangva dunga .

Realisation hit him.

K - what ? Tum pharmacy shop par kya lene jaana hai ?

M - pregnancy kit.

K - huh ?

M - kya huh , Karan tum chal rhe ho ya main khud jao. Tumhe pta hai iss state me driving isn't good.

K(was in his own world) - nhi nhi ,main tumhe le kar chalta ho na. Tum drive mat karo.

Monami nods her head .
