They could hear the commotion outside the tent. Taunts from Murphy and his lackeys all directed towards the shaking girl by Bellamy's side. As the shouts got louder, Clarke felt more conflicted between protecting Charlotte or letting justice serve itself and the murder of Wells. Could she still be good down on earth? Would survival let her do that? Can I stay who I am?
The commotion inside the tent wasn't much better. The three of them tried dealing with this situation calmly for the sake of Charlotte but soon ideas and insults were thrown across the table. Clarke had stayed quiet for most of it only talking to disagree. "I can take her into the woods," she spoke up.
"Your not going alone," Finn stated. "Together then," she said through gritted teeth.
Bellamy ran a hand through his dark hair. "You can't hide in the forest for forever Clarke."She ignored the way her real name rolled off his tongue and said, "Well until we figure something out, its the best and the only idea we have."
He sighed. "Fine, go, just keep her safe."
Finn nodded before grabbing her hand and pulling her out the back entrance of the tent. Clarke went to follow but Bellamy grabbed her wrist.
"Keep yourself safe too." His brown eyes seemed almost warm then, inviting. She reached her other hand up, placing it on his arm. "You know I will."
He let go then, wether from shock or understanding and Clarke left the tent without another word, yet her wrist still tingled where he had touched.

They ran through the forest together, Finn leading the way. "I know somewhere safe," he had said.
There is no safe place on earth, Clarke thought. He led them to a bunker, hidden over by moss and earth. He pushed open the door and once they were inside he closed it with a bang. "Look for matches, or candles."
Clarke set to work rummaging through the dusty drawers and crooked shelves before finding some and tossing them to Finn. They were soon cloaked in light.Charlotte immediately went to the bed on the back wall, her back facing them. Finn tossed her a few pencils from one of the shelves and a stack of paper before he began folding one of his own.
She hadn't seen art supplies since the ark. Clarke smiled at Finn even if he never noticed. Maybe I do have friends down here.
She was at loss for what to draw at first. How could one capture the beauty of the forest in just a few sketch strokes? How could you simply draw a moving river or the blueness of the sky? So she didn't draw earth, she drew the people the lived on it.
She drew Octavia in her first few moments on the ground, Jasper and Monty laughing, Finn as he pointed out animal tracks. And then Clarke noticed, after she had sketched a pair of deep eyes and a wide crooked smile that she had drawn Bellamy. She followed the lines of his lips, of his straight teeth, she noticed the smudged freckles and golden flecks amongst his irises. Clarke crumpled the paper up and threw it across the room. Finn raised a brow at her before returning to his origami type thing. She let her head fall into her hands.
What has come over me?

It was during the night when Clarke woke up. She had fallen asleep on the couch after Finn and her had quietly discussed what would happen to Charlotte, tried to find another way. He was collapsed on the floor now, his legs on the couch, his face squished against the floor. Oh what she would give for a camera.
Rubbing her eyes sleepily she scanned the room. The papers she had thrown were still there but the little girl, that they had tucked into the bed was not.Clarke shot up immediately shaking Finn. "What?" he groaned in a drowsy state. "She's gone," Clarke half shouted. "Charlotte left!"
Finn was halfway to the door by the time she stumbled to her feet. "Well come on then!"
