"Mummy, mummy wake up, it's the morning." David comes rushing into my room with his little blue teddy comforter.

"No darling, it's far too earlier, why dont you jump in mummy's bed for a little while?" I pull back the covers making space for him.

"No, mummy, look see its morning it's a sunny day." Now pulling at the tab to lift open my window blinds.

"Yeap, guess your right it's morning. " dragging my feet out of bed.

I wouldn't mind so much, but it's the weekend and an extra hour in bed sounded so appealing.

We have a really good routine in the week. Always up at 6am rise or shine, waking David up at 7 with his breakfast and packing his lunch ready for his childminder.

Sitting David on the kitchen chair, I pour out his favourite cereal, chocolate hoops and a small glass of fresh orange juice.

As his sitting peaceful eating I turn the kettle on deciding on a quick tea.

Waiting for the kettle to boil I stand gazing at my beautiful little boy, 2.5 years old and my absolute bundle of joy. Pure perfection in every way, but I would say that after all he is mine.
Watching him sit there trying to be careful getting all the hoops in his mouth, I cant help but think he looks a spitting image of his father. The lush brown locks, the brown eyes, even the frowns he pulls are a double of his daddy.

After the phone calls stopped three years ago and finding out I was pregnant, my dad was really supportive, he has been a true role model for David, he never pushed me to contact Ryder even though he didnt agree with my decision. He still helps out from time to time with the pappy duties but its difficult with him living back in Northampton and myself living in London now.

Yeap, I took the plunge about 7months after giving birth I decided I had to be a better mother for David and applied for work. I was luckily enough to impress the boss at PA RICHARDSON a law firm in London and successful got the job, it's only a secretary jobs to the Boss himself but for me it was a dream come true. I wanted to make this work for me and David and it would be a brilliant fresh start. So I moved, found a nice little 2bed flat within a 15minute walk radius from work.

After moving to London, I stopped talking to Mia, even though she was an amazing friend throughout my short time at university, we just drifted apart and never really spoke again. I never told her about David, no one knows, I came off of social media, more so for my benefit as I didnt want to be one of those crazy stalker exs who follows everything there old partners are doing. I couldn't bring myself to see Ryder's facebook or Instagram profile with the latest photos of his and Sophie's child, it crushed me then and deep down thinking about it now crushes me more.

I often wonder how Ryder is, what his doing, if there together and what did they call their baby.

Labour was an experience for sure, 11hours, constant gas and air on the go, finally a little healthy boy came into the world weighing 6lb 15oz on the 5th February.

I wasnt ashamed to have my dad in the delivery room, he was my absolute rock holding my hand throughout, and when I was given that little boy for the first time in my hands his face said a thousand words.

Picking a name was easy, I wanted David, a symbol of respect to remember Ryders dad, and Trevor for his second name my dads name.

So the little bundle of joy became David Trevor Kingston.

Hearing the kettle whistle I come out of my trance, to look up to find David caked in chocolate and soggie hoops around his little cheeks.

"Come on Mr, let's get you freshened up and ready for today. So what shall we do this morning little one? "
