while both hyunjin and jeongin were enjoying each other's company at the older's loft, seungmin and chan were quite the opposite
the younger had been sexually frustrated and needy but chan couldn't find time for both seungmin and work
seungmin tried multiple times, only resulting to silly arguments as they'd find something to argue about
"it's like this every fucking comeback season! you don't have the shit for me anymore, chan. it's-"
"believe me, i try my best baby-"
"do you really, though? unlike me, you don't fucking make time for your fucking boyfriend even when you have a tight schedule. unlike you, i'd get dicked on because of stress and still have practice the next day!"
"seung, i-"
"you haven't kissed me in a whole month, i made dinner last night but you went out with changbin and jisung instead. you didn't even leave me a text and i had to find out from sungie!" the younger was full on sobbing as he tried to speak clearly, a lump formed on his throat as he closed his eyes
chan always looked and sounded pitch perfect when it came to the friend group as he had the most responsibilities. seungmin understood his lover but only to a certain point
as they said, people had limits. seungmin was patient, knowing why chan couldn't find time but he was at the point where he couldn't take it anymore
"i don't want to admit that we're slowly falling out. i don't want to fucking admit that even when you're sleeping beside me, i still miss you! i want you to stay, don't go anywhere yet you have other priorities chan!"
seungmin had fallen to the ground, his shirt stained with salty tears as the older cautiously hugged him. venting was always hard for the taller, opening up to chan about his feelings rarely happened
chan didn't speak, he listened. soon, the younger one fell asleep in his arms. the older brought him to their shared room and laid him down the bed gently
he finished the last track he needed to work on for the comeback and sent a text message to his manager before joining the sleeping seungmin
"i'm sorry for not seeming like i care. this is the last time, kim. i've made sure of it."
