Note: I'm really loving the direction I'm taking this story. ;) Hope you're enjoying it as well!

It was evening. Deeks was in the servant's chambers eating dinner when Kensi walking in.

'Hey. Thought soldiers have their own eating quarters.' He said, slightly surprised to see her.

'They do. But I decided to sneak away to see you. I heard you came to see me earlier.' Kensi replied.

'Yeah. I wanted to see you and give you these flowers (Then he held out the flowers), and I ran into Jack, and I talked to him.'

'Was he nice?'

'He was. I also asked him how your boss feels about his soldiers having relationships outside of work, and I'm feeling a little uncomfortable about us being together now.' Deeks said.

Kensi sat down. 'Look, I've, been enjoying our secret relationship. I don't care what Sam might think, I like being with you!' She said, confidently.

'I don't want to get you in trouble, or get you fired.' Deeks replied.

'He won't fire me! I'm one of his best soldiers! Look, I'm willing to let this relationship grow if you're willing to. But we can't be afraid of my boss!'

'I don't know. He's big, burly, I'm afraid of him.'

'Look, I'll talk to him, tell him about us, and I'll reason with him. Just don't give up on us so easy.' Kensi said.

Deeks sighed. 'Okay.'

They leaned in for a kiss when a loud voice interrupted them.

'What the hell is going on here?!' It was Sam.

Nell had managed to get off work early so she could meet Eric at the town's fountain.

Eric was waiting for her, wearing a green suit.

'Hey there! Glad you could make it!' Eric said, happy to see her.

'Yeah! I actually managed to get off work early. So, what do you have planned for tonight?' Nell asked.

'That's a surprise!'

They threw darts at the Deliverance bar, went star gazing at Miss Diaz Park, and went dancing at The Live Long Day dance studio.

As they were walking back to the Praesidium hotel

'Wow! I had no idea you were as goofy at dancing as I was!' Nell said.

'It's a gift.' Eric replied. 'How did you enjoy tonight?'

'I loved it! I had no idea you were such a romantic! You must have a lot of women vying for your hand!'

Eric laughed. 'Actually, I haven't dated in a few months. Haven't met the right woman yet.'

'Oh. Well, I hope you find the right woman some day.'

'I think I already have.' Eric said.

'Huh?'

Then he kissed her.

'Goodnight Nell.'

At the castle

After dinner, Hetty noticed Duke Kilbride was in the painting room looking at the painting of her and Granger kissing under a sun beam.

'Amazing. The prince slays the dragon and proves his worthiness, and the heavens rejoice.' He said, in a bitter tone.

'What's so wrong about that?' She asked.

'After I went home after the bitter defeat, I started hearing talk that you knew what Owen was fluent at, and that you added those extra events so he could win. And I later found out that you DID know what he was good at! Kind of makes me wonder if you rigged the whole thing.'

Hetty was appaled by his bold and bitter statement. 'It wasn't rigged! It was a fair competition between 2 of my suitors for my hand in marriage.'

'Please. If you didn't want to marry me, You should've just said so! After Owen came home, it was pretty obvious you wanted to be with him. You started spending more time with him, and whenever we hung out, you were distracted. You didn't need a stupid competition to make your choice, you already made it, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you had already chosen him before he left!' Kilbride shouted.

'First off, Mr Know-It-All. I might had been sure about being with Owen before he left, but he was gone for so long and I was hanging out with you, I didn't know what to do! I added those extra events to give Owen 1 last chance to prove himself, and he won! You're just mad because you're still bitter about losing!' Hetty shouted back.

'I'm still bitter because I loved you, and I feel like you played with my feelings for your entertainment!'

'Did you? Did you really love me? From the way you're acting now, I'm glad I didn't marry you!'

'And I'm feeling glad I didn't marry a lying puppet master!'

'GET OUT OF HERE, BITCH!' Hetty shouted back.

Kilbride left in a huff, and Granger noticed.

'That sounded heated, you okay?' He asked.

'I'd rather not discuss right now. Let's go to bed.' She replied.
