"ELLY?"

My Mom call me so I gave my attention to her, "Yes Ma?" I ask her where eating breakfast "Your Father wants to be with you this vacation," Mom said so I got excited.

"Really? His in Dubai right?" I said and my Mom nodded like she don't seem so happy "Ma, I'm staying with Papa for vacation while I'm all yours for the school year" I said

"I just missed my only daughter," she said I smiled at my Mom. After breakfast Mom bid her goodbye cause she was going to her work now.

I came from a broken family, my parents are not married, but even though they are not living together, they make sure they support me all the way, and they love me enough.

I stay with my Mom but I stay with my Dad on vacation. And today is my vacation, last week I finished my studies, and I graduated high school. I'm a first-year college next school year, taking tourism.

My parents always understand and respect my decision. And I'm their only child, I don't have siblings on the other side, cause both of them, didn't marry. My Mom never entertains someone ever since I was born, while my Dad has ex-partners but he doesn't have them now.

Based on the story my Mom told me, she didn't marry Dad cause she was just a student back then when she knows I'm alive in her tummy. She's just finishing her studies, and Dad wants to marry her but Mom insists, cause Dad just achieving his dream. A pilot.

When Dad finished his studies, Mom gave birth, she didn't tell my Dad, until they met again. Dad knew Mom is pregnant but he just saw me when I was three years old back then. Mom finished her studies when I was five years old, she left me with my Grandparents.

I'm living now in Canada, cause when my Mom finished her studies, she choose to live here, and have a peaceful life. But Dad wants to be with me too, so they decide to be with me separately.

I'm going to Dad every end of the school year while I stay with Mom every school year. I really love both of them, but I'm a Daddy's Girl, ever since, cause Dad took care of me when Mom is continue her studies when my Grandparents died.

I'm lucky to have a Pilot Father and a Flight Attendant Mother, I wanted to be like them too, so I took tourism, they were young back then when they became my parents, but they were wonderful and good parents to me.

I go out to breathe some fresh air, living here is good, but I'm not into people, I don't have a friend, and I'm so choosy when choosing people.

"Oh my gosh," I said when someone throw some crumbled paper on me. "I'm sorry," he said and go to my place, "Can you give me the paper," he said so I pick up the paper and gave it to him. He shoots it into the trash bin beside him.

"It's okay," I said cause I'm not that hurt I'm just shocked "Thunder" he introduced himself and offered his hand for a handshake, I accept his hand and smiled at him. "Vanessa," I said, he just smiled at me

There's a gate in the middle of us, their house gate and ours, "I'm writing something and I'm trying to shoot the paper on the trash bin, but it ends up going to you" he said and I nodded, and when I look at his place, crumble papers are on the grass.

"I'm sorry for the mess," he said and I just smiled, he picks all the papers and places them in the trash bin. "I'll get going, nice meeting you Vanessa," he said I just smiled at him "Me too," I said he just waved his hand and leave me alone. And I found that he's just our neighbor, I never go out so I never noticed him.

I prefer staying at home, to going outside. Cause when I was young I almost got into an accident, that's why Mom always, prefer to let me stay at home than go outside. That's my choice too.
