(Levi's POV)
I was sitting on my bed waiting for the time to strike back. It had been 3 weeks since the failed attack on the sirens and the loss of my brother.
It's been so hard to recover after he died. All I remember from that fight was his last words: Live long, die free
Knock Knock
Levi: Enter
Door opens showing Friedrich der Große waiting : You shouldn't be so reckless you almost killed yourself against the sirens
Levi: I was going to be fine no matter what while you were there
FDG: and if I wasn't?
Levi: I would be dead
FDG: Sigh Come on, we have work to do
Levi: Fine
(Timeskip)
We arrived at The meeting room fashionably late due to a certain cruiser pissing me off
Bismarck: Took you long enough
Levi: I don't want to hear it
FDG: What were we called here for?
Bismarck: You will be taking part in the attack on the Azur lane base with Akagi and Kaga to gain materials to complete project orochi
Levi: As if it could be so easy
Bismarck: Are you objecting? You have practically been begging for combat for these past weeks and yet you are complaining about this mission?
Levi: I am not complaining about the mission I am complaining about the lack of clarity we have for this mission
Bismarck: I understand your concerns about this but we must trust them for now
Levi: Alright, I will go
Bismarck: Gut. Remember, your main battery is only for last ditch efforts so don't shoot unless you fully intend to kill
Levi: Understood
Bismarck: Go talk with the lead engineer to make sure everything is in order
FDG: Understood
Bismarck: Dismissed
Me and FDG left to go find the lead engineer
(Later)
When me and FDG walked into the drydock the lead engineer was tinkering with a unknown device
Lead engineer Rüdger: Ah, am I glad to see you Levi
Levi: Oh brother, what is wrong?
Rüdger: You broke your steering pin last week in the training exercise
Levi: Scheiße
Rüdger: Don't worry I will have it fixed before your assignment
Levi (Mind): Was everyone aware of this assignment other than me?
FDG: let's get everything else in order
Levi: Ok, Auf wiedersehen Rüdger
Rüdger: Auf wiedersehen
As we left the drydock Prinz Eugen showed up
FDG: I going to go now goodbye
Levi: Later
Prinz Eugen: Auf wiedersehen
Levi (Startled): When did you get here???
Prinz Eugen: Just now
Levi: Sigh
Prinz Eugen: What has you upset?
Levi: it's the fact that Bismarck said not to use my main battery on my next assignment
Prinz Eugen: What's wrong with that? You are known for over doing things
Levi: Don't remind me of that
Prinz Eugen: smiles
Levi (Mind): What is your problem damnit?
Levi: Sigh This is starting to make less sense as the days go by. I just wish it wasn't so complicated
Prinz Eugen: Well, all we have to do is make a mess at the base and that's it
Levi: You and me both know it's never that easy
Prinz Eugen: If only it was
We both turned To look at the sunrise and wonder, what ulterior motives are there in this fight? And will we make it home when the day is done?
