"Get off my ship."

"Why should I listen to a peasant?"

"Because this is my ship."

"These are my waters boy." His eyes were...glowing? It didn't make sense. One second I'm beating the shit out of Wieber and the next this....man shows up out of nowhere. I don't like how this feels. It's a setup, isn't it?

"We have two ways to do this. Either you leave these waters, or I'll put a bullet in your knee." I didn't say anything, his eyes narrowing at my lack of response.

Damn you, I want to kill you so badly but I can't. Oh wait....I can

I pulled my fist back and went to punch him, only he caught my fist. It was unbelievable. I was the fastest puncher in Ironblood, and he just stopped it without even moving his feet.

"Wha-"

Crack, thump

"I told you what I'd do, but you didn't listen."

Fuck he actually shot me, god it hurts! What the hell was that?! A fucking 88? Sure felt like it. I rolled away and flipped back up onto my feet, even though it hurt to stand. I wasn't going down without a fight, especially against some nobody. He stared at me, almost as if it was through my body towards....

"Leave him alone!" Tone ran forward, katana in hand, straight at him. She moved too quick for me to realise what she was doing. She was within a few feet of him when there was a sickening crunch, Tone falling down next to him. Her leg was twisted backwards in some impossible way. He just stood there, staring down at the crying girl. He was heartless, just heartless.

I looked side to side, the others were watching from a doorway. I made a motion behind my back and they ran off the side of the ship, the man watching them with his discolored eyes. I smashed my fist into the side of my turret, which earned his attention. He tilted his head while I drew my blade from its sheath.

"So you're willing to fight your death?"

"I won't die here."

"You're right....mostly." He took out his own blade, a katana with a red edge and black hilt. It was...intimidating. Just looking at it made me shiver. He slowly started walking towards me, his golden eye glowing brighter. I took a defensive stance, hoping for the best. He swung first, going low. I went to block it, but as I did I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. He'd faked his strike and hit my shoulder instead. I moved to the side towards the bow. He caught me mid step and cut into my arm. I turned and ran up to the bow, not wasting another second. He simply walked after my, his eyes showing....amusement?

No...go away....I can't....NO....not like this....I won't fail....I can't fail

This time, I went first. I ran down and swung at him. He....leaned back and dodged?!? Almost as soon as I was about to swing again he kicked my side and swung at my head. I moved my head back, barely dodging the blade. Tone had somehow crawled away, which made me happy. Preussen tried to hit me again, only I blocked it. His eyes narrowed slightly, his offhand moving behind his back. I pressed against him and swung, narrowly missing his head.

He kicked me in the gut and skipped backwards. He was annoying, too annoying.

"THIS ENDS HERE." I summoned my rig, him falling onto the water. Normally people would sink into the water, but he didn't. He looked at his ship, then at me. He tapped the side of his mask, the lights turning off. The mask fell down, onto his prepositioned foot. He picked it up and clipped it to his belt. His face was clean, other then the scar that went from the side of his right cheek to above his eye.

"Going to take me seriously now?"

"No.....quite the opposite actually." He summoned his rig, which was massive. The heads looked at me with hungry eyes, snapping their jaws with pure loud clanks. It was dead inducing, not to mention the feeling of dread. He whistled and snapped twice, his rig changed to a dragon that completely dwarfed my rig. I didn't think...no....I never knew there was another with this sort of power....

I turned my rig into its other form and rushed him, leaving our rigs to fight each other. As I got close I realised something; He has a gun pointed at my gut.

Wait wha-

Bang, splash

I tumbled into the water, a bullet hole straight through my gut. I felt disoriented, my arm wouldn't work with me. I tried to say something, to gather my strength, but I couldn't. His boot was on my head, the small blade sticking out the back. Was this it? Was this where I'd finally...die?

To be continued...

--AU Note--

Hey guys, yeah this was a special chapter for me. It mainly highlighted some things I didn't realize when I first made the book, but now I'm going to make it blatantly obvious. See y'all in the next chapter
