(Max POV)
I was in the medbay with Hindenburg as his wounds were slowly healing. It didn't seem like he would wake up for a while so I gave him a kiss and walked around the base. Then, I ran into Levi
Levi: How is Hindenburg doing Max?
Max: He hasn't awoken yet but we just need to give him some time
Levi: I hope that's all we need to do
Max: Are you worried?
Levi: I am worried. He is my friend, my brother. If anyone is going to worry it will be me
Max(While smiling): I am glad you care for him
Levi(Slightly thrown off by her smiling): Uh, Ye-Yeah
Max(Mind): Is he scared of me? He never shows fear... I think, I can't even tell because he wears a mask all the time
Levi: Anyways, I should be going Bismarck wants to speak with me about the last engagement
Max: Ok, I see you later then?
Levi: Yeah, I guess so
And with that, we went out separate ways
(Levi POV)
I had just finished talking with Max when Ägir walked up to me
Ägir: You seem off today
Levi: What do you mean?
Ägir: You seem like something is bothering you
Levi: Well, it's stupid so don't think much of it
Ägir: Große is worrying about you after the last battle with royal navy
Levi: Well, I went berserk and killed about 6 royal navy ships plus their non-shipgirl friends and it's been bothering me about what Wales said about me
Ägir: What did she say?
Levi: She called me a monster
Ägir was thrown off by this. We both knew that Wales never said anything like that without actually meaning it
Ägir: Don't worry, we will always be here for you no matter what
Levi: Thank you, Ägir
Ägir: You should get to your meeting. I heard it's with some of the military brass from high up
Levi: Yeah, I guess so
After that we hugged and I went to the meeting. It's going to be a long year for sure
