"Y'know those are bad for you." Caitlyn points out as we kept walking to Jericho's. I exhaled the smoke. Took the cigarette out of my mouth and looked at it. "Really? You think so?" I ask inspecting the cigarette, I then put it back in my mouth. Inhaling it. "Thanks but I don't need your advice." I seethe exhaling the smoke. She never cared in the first place. Why would she care now? fucking Pilties
"Here we are." I pointed at the worn down burger joint. "Let me tell you his burgers are, chef kiss. Best burger joint in the lanes." I inform her. She hums. She starts walking to the joint while is stay back. I drop the cigarette of course getting one last puff before I do so. I step on the cigarette blowing out the smoke. "Well. Take care and stay careful." I say beginning to walk down the alley. She stops and looks at me. "Wait! You're not coming?" She quickly asks. I stop and twist only my head. "Sorry princess, I got places to be" I told her starting to walk away again.
"But I never got to thank you." She said following me. "No need pretty girl, that bastard got what he deserved." I say waving my hand. "Uhm.." she quickly thought walking behind me. "I need to thank you some how. Please at least let me pay for a meal, anything." She came up with. I stopped walking to think about the offer. She almost bumped into me from how I stopped so suddenly.
I hummed. I turned around and stuffed my hands in my pockets. "Fine I'll come with you only because I'm hungry, But I'll pay for my food." I say walking to Jericho's. She followed behind. "B-but I can pay it's really no problem. Plus you saved me let me thank you." She said following behind me closely. "Look princess. I said you don't need to thank me." I repeat again irritated. "But-""I said no. I can pay for my own shit." I said walking into the joint. She stayed quiet I held the door open as she walked in. Only talking to say "thank you"
We then head to the counter. "Ah, Jericho Sup man" I greeted. He grunted and smiled at me. I lean on the counter looking over at mrs Kiramman. Who was looking around the joint . I look back at Jericho and smiled. I tapped my chin humming. I then pointed a finger gun at him winking. "I'll get the usual." I told him. He grunts and nodded his head tapping the order into the cashier.
He then grunted and nodded his head towards British 'Sophia the first'. I looked at her as she just looked at me in confusion. "What do you want?" I ask nodding my head towards the menu. She looked at menu and then me. "Uhm...uhh.. I would want.. uhh" she gulped. I sigh getting impatient. "She wants a cheeseburger with fries and a soda" I say looking at Jericho. He grunted and tapped it in. He then turnt the computer screen to me. I nodded giving him a thumbs up. I reach in my pocket grabbing 'my wallet' it's actually from the man I punched, but hey, finders keepers. I look in the wallet grabbing a bill. I was about to give it to him but Caitlyn gave him money. He took it and put it in the cashier. "Hey, what the fuck? I told you I was gonna pay for my stuff." I told her.
She hums in amusement. She then grabbed the receipt the Jericho gave her and walked off to sit on a booth. I scoff but follow her. She sat down and I sat down on the other seat in front of her. "I told you I was paying for my shit." I said bitterly. Clearly irritated by what she just pulled. She just stared out the window of the joint. "Hey!" I bark. "I'm talking to you!" I huff in annoyance and lean back in the booth crossing my arms. She then looks at me and laughs.
"You look and sound like an absolute child right now." She giggled. Which I did not find charming. I scoffed "yeah, whatever." I mumbled under my breath.
A couple minutes later Jericho walks to our table and sets the food down. I rub my hands together. I was about to dig in when I paused to look at Caitlyn. She was looking at me. I let out a sigh "thanks for the food." I tell her. she smiles at me "no problem." She said nodding her head. I grabbed my burger and began devouring it.
She kept on looking at me. I drank my soda washing down some of the food. "Look, I know I'm hot but your burger is going to get cold if you don't eat it." I said pointing at the burger. Her face glows a hint of pink 'She probably thinks I have no manners probably thinks I'm some dirty under city sump rat. She probably thinks I have no life and that I am some drug addict.' I sigh disappointed in myself for thinking those things.
It's sad what thoughts could do to you. She began eating her burger picking at some of the fries. She hums in enjoyment. It distracted me from my thoughts "It's good, huh?" I ask smirking while shoveling some fries into my mouth.
She nods her head in agreement.

"Thank you again, for helping me." Caitlyn said. We were walking towards the better parts of town "no problem, just remember you got be careful especially around these parts. Next time bring a friend or something it's I'm probably not gonna be there to save you next time." I told her. "Then why we're you by yourself?" She genuinely asked. "Cuz people know me for who my dad is, or they witnessed me fight and thought 'hmm maybe I shouldn't' or the ones that experienced it have thought 'damn I just got my shit rocked. Wait! Why can't I see from my left eye?!'" I imitated a man voice laughing
I look at her to see a disturbed look on her face. 'Fuck, now she thinks you are a crazy psycho who likes to hurt people. Now she thinks you can't be trusted, wait? You don't need her, why do You want her trust? She is a selfish entitled Piltie prick who only thinks about herself why the fuck would you even think about wanting her trust? You know what? Fuck this. Fuck her. She can fuck off. This is bullshit.' Awkward silence filled the air as we kept walking. "Sorry" I quietly say. She looks at me in surprise, "For what?" She asks.
"Never mind nothing." I quickly say. Turning back to my normal aloof manner I always have. I clench my jaw. I really need to smoke right now. But I've already had three today. I keep my jaw clenched trying not to let the silence let my thoughts drown me. We finally make it to the better parts of town. "Alright this is my stop." I come to a stop "Thanks for the food." I say. "Again thank you. I'm grateful." She smiles at me.
She has a small gap in her front two teeth. Not gonna lie I smiled a bit. Not cuz it's cute or anything but because I think the gap tooth smile looks funny. I salute with my index and middle finger. "Again, no problem pretty girl." I then turn back and begin walking off.
As I walk back into the bad parts I feel on edge, it's Zaun yeah but something doesn't feel right. I feel really uneasy. I look around but continue forward to the small apartment I live in with the rest. My stomach drops. I see the man that I hit pointing at me with some sort of gang behind him. "Her, over there" he nodded his head my direction.
"Shit"
Sup skittle squad I really don't got anything to say. Besides giving a lil announcement there is a high possibility of this book having smut. Yes I've already thought it out 💀💀
