Karn POV

"Do you really not know what I am asking about, Aditya?" She raises her eyebrows, looking down at my half laid down form.

I sigh. Oh goddess! Full name?
I knew this was coming, but what do I tell her now?

Should I talk about it or not? Because at the end of the day, it is her secrets and her stories. Can I share it?

Even bigger question, should I be the one to share it?

But this is Dadi, yaar! What can I tell her?
She will catch me, instantly, if I lie.

"The Prince Of Salwa was harassing her verbally, through the letters and I just gave him a piece of my mind." I admit, slowly to her.

"And what did this giving a piece of your mind actually entitle?" She questions.

"I sent him a letter." I reply, vaguely.

When she keeps staring at me with un- relenting fever, I sighed.
"I threatened him, by the authority of Hastinapur's prince."

Dadi stared at me moments before slapping me on the head.
"What is wrong with you, Adi?"

"Hey!" I protest.

"That was the most idiotic thing to do." She shakes her head, at me.
"I have raised you and you turn out to be such a prat." She mumbles.

"Excuse me?" My mouth falls open. "I heard that!"

"You were meant to!" She rolls her eyes.

"Sweetheart!" I pout.

"Stop doing that!" She chides. "And why in the name of Shiva did you do that?"

"I care for her, sweetheart!"

"Wonderful way to care for her, you practically slapped the trust she had in you, back in her face." She continues further, getting up from her place on the bed and starts to pace in front of me.

"What -" I begin but she talks over me.

"She trusted you so much to even tell her about all this. And you do that?" She looks at me, like I just told that I killed her pet or something.

"Ok, wait. Before all that, Aditya, tell me the whole story behind this." She says as she comes to stop in front of her.

"A few years ago, the Prince of Salwa wanted to marry her because she seemed like some prized wife to him. Because of her beauty and a smarts." I tell her a small summary of the situation.

"What an idiot!" Dadi shakes her head. "And then?"

"Did I say, he is ten years older than us?" I question.
"And he treated her like a shit back when they were young."

"What did she do about it?" Dadi questions.

"Snapped at him when we were face to face. And ignored him otherwise." I grumble out.
