I rolled over at the obnoxious blaring of my alarm, creaking a tired eye open to turn it off. A picture of my cat from back home smiled at me as I checked the time, 10:00am. I groaned, mentally debating to skip whatever I had planned, but I knew Rae would definitely kill me if I did. Forcing myself out of bed, an involuntary yawn escaped. My bed looked like a crime scene at the way everything was thrashed around, with a scarce amount of my blanket barely clinging onto the mattress. I hastily fixed its appearance before grabbing a simple outfit that consisted of black straight-cut jeans and a white camisole, with a gray half-zipped up sweater on top.
I took a quick shower and blow-dried my hair afterwards, knowing I wouldn't have time to let it dry naturally. I went for a simple make-up look today since I suspected they would do touch-ups if needed anyway. After I successfully changed into my outfit, I glanced at the time once more: 11:30am, right on time.
I swung my purse over my shoulder with a smile and exited my room, meeting an on-the-verge-of-falling-asleep Tina across the hall. She gave me a once-over with a dropped jaw and shook her head in disbelief. "I don't know how you do that," she practically grumbled, throwing a CORPSE hoodie over her t-shirt.
I tossed her a wink. "Always on-top of my game, Tee." We walked to the living room together to find Brooke, who, despite waking up a mere 30 minutes ago, looked perfect as usual. I don't think I've ever seen Brooke have a bad hair day.
"You guys are always setting me up!" Tina accused as she sat to tie her shoes. "How do you guys look so good all of the freaking time?! I don't get it!"
Brooke and I shared a look and laughed. "Tina, you're literally stunning, shut up," I huffed light-heartedly.
Nodding, Brooke agreed. "Three pretty best friends!"
We made our way across the street, stopping by Starbucks on the way. As we sat at a table beside the window, I began searching for an Uber. I found one that would be able to arrive in 8 minutes and chose it before scrolling through Twitter. I replied to a few of my friends as we waited for the Uber.
Rae was the first to greet us when we arrived. "Hi guys," I gave her a short hug.
"Hi," I beamed. She was already dressed in some of her new merchandise that she would be releasing in the upcoming month or two. "Wow, that sweater is sick, Rae."
"Thank you!" she grinned. "Okay, so you guys can just walk to the back and Laura should be there to help you guys. We're just waiting on Ludwig who is, supposedly, five minutes away," she rolled her eyes at the name of her friend.
I got dressed in her Radiant Spirits hoodie and sweats, enjoying how the soft material felt on my skin. Tina was wearing the Radiant Dye sweater and sweats, while Brooke was wearing possibly the coolest t-shirt I had seen. I definitely wanted to take something home.
