"Sooo... does anyone have a valentine?" I hear George ask his chat. It was just past midnight and George had the impulsive desire to go live, so I was sat in front of my computer with Fornite loaded up. Dream and Sapnap were also in the voice channel with us.
I've been spending a lot of time with them recently. I was glad I've been able to bond with them so well, especially with the Vegas trip coming up in the next two days — I eventually agreed to go, but unfortunately, Tina wouldn't be able to come. Brooke agreed to drive me there, but she couldn't stay either.
"Are you gonna be my valentine, George?" Sapnap asked, earning a scoff from Dream. I practically envisioned the argument before it even occurred.
"What?" Dream sounded offended, which was unsurprising. I had seen the clip of him getting rejected by George just last Valentine's day. "George is gonna be my valentine, so... I'm sorry but not really," he said smugly.
I could already picture George's smirk at the way his friends were fighting over him, and with a glance to my left, my suspicions were confirmed.
"George is such an attention-seeker," I laughed, watching as his mouth dropped open. "You brought up Valentine's Day on purpose."
"Well, Bea," he huffed, adjusting in his chair. "If you wanted to be my valentine so bad, you could have just asked too."
I rolled my eyes at his ego. "I did not say that I wanted to be your valentine, idiot."
"You did actually," he quickly rebutted, despite being entirely wrong. "Just to be clear."
"I didn't."
"Oooh, okay miss 'just found out who gnf is, I can't handle—'"
"Literally shut up," I groaned loudly to drown out his voice. "You're such a liar, you said you wouldn't look for it."
"Well, I want to be George's valentine," Dream pushed his way back into the conversation. "C'mon George. You said 'maybe next year', and it's next year."
"I don't even see the importance in Valentine's day," George scrunched his nose as his eyes moved to read the face-paced chat. "Like, what does being a Valentine entail?"
"Dude, you are so dumb. You can tell George has never had a valentine before." I snorted at Sapnap's comment.
"Valentine was such a big deal in high school," I pointed out with a grimace. "I, like, vividly remember sitting in AP calculus and wanting to be one of those girls that got a rose sent to them by that student council thing."
"Did you ever get one?" Dream asked.
Sapnap rushed to answer before I could. "Dream, c'mon. She was sitting in AP calculus," he chuckled. "Not even regular calculus, she was AP. Bea was a nerd."
