"How's it been so far?" About halfway through the week had already gone by, and I was honestly having the time of my life. I didn't have the weird awkward phase of friendship with any of the three boys I was staying with, and we kind of just skipped to the 'being-close-friends' part.

Tina and Brooke observed me curiously as I tied my hair in a high ponytail. "It's been really good," I told them honestly, smiling at my laptop screen. "Like— ugh, I don't know how to describe it. I feel, like, really included here, you know?"

"It sounds like you're having a pretty great time," Brooke grinned. "So have you asked George about the flower thing yet?"

"Those are from George?" Tina's eyes widened scarily wide as she ran somewhere off the screen. She returned with a vase of the same tulips I found on the doorstep that morning. "You mean to tell me that this," — she pointed to the vase with her free hand — "came from someone who can't even say 'I love you' to his best friends?"

I pulled my blanket to cover the bottom half of my face while Brooke laughed her heart out. "Right? I think it's cute."

"It's damn adorable, why'd no one tell me?" She placed the flowers down, flailing around her now free arms.

"Didn't seem important," I bit my lip nervously, but I wasn't sure why I felt nervous. "It was just a nice gesture, I dunno."

They seemed unconvinced, and honestly, I wasn't sure if I was convinced myself. But I wasn't really good with feelings, or signs, or anything like that. So I guess I wouldn't know if it was flirting either way — even though I doubted it was.

"Onto other news, what have you done so far?"

"Sapnap and George have been fuckin' obsessed with the Casino," I rolled my eyes, breathing a laugh out at the memories from just yesterday. "Like, they're really competitive there, especially Sapnap. If Dream wasn't with us yesterday, I think he would have blown all his money."

Tina snickered. "True, Dream is a very responsible person." She walked off again, but I could still hear her since the apartment was relatively quiet. "Where's Dream now? Is he with his family?"

"Yeah, he's there until tomorrow night." I responded, groaning when I finally check the time. "Shit. Sapnap wants to go watch some movie tonight at the theatres, I'll call you guys later."

"Bye! Have fun, Bea!"

"Love you,"

"Love you! Stay safe."

I threw a black hoodie that was laying around my room on top of my tee and jeans without glancing at the design. My hair was an absolute mess, so I pulled my hood over it. I opened my door to reveal Sapnap with his fist in the air, clearly intending to knock.

"Oh, I was about to wake you the fuck up, I thought you were asleep." His hand fell limp to his side as he offered me a grin.

I rolled my eyes, shutting my door behind me before walking down the hall by his side. "I'm never late," I protested. If I don't get my shit done within my own deadlines, I quite literally go insane. Sure, there was the odd procrastination bump here and there, but it was never something that pushed and disrupted my carefully thought-out timelines.
