Faithfully Yours

Chapter 9

Ebony fell to her knees and let out a sigh of relief as tears streamed down her face. She can't believe it, but it made sense, there had been others that Ebony took into her possession who only lead her to tears, for once they were given their time to roam and be in the world they often disrespected her and left her collar, which in turn made her less open to taking in anyone else, until this year when Alicia did what she did.  She wasn't sure but something began to happen when she first laid eyes on Violet, and the fact she was a Hufflepuff made her smile, as her first love was a Hufflepuff.  

As she finally rose to her feet and put the cloak in her bag she didn't even realize she grabbed it off the bed when she ran out, but was thankful that she did as she didn't want just anyone knowing she had it. Before she reached her House's door there was a group of people and Her beloved was being carried out by a stretcher to Madam Palmfry's wing in the hospital. The head of Slytherin's house came up and pulled me aside. 

" Why didn't you tell me about you having a poisoned classmate in your room?"

" I didn't have time, a fellow classmate poisoned her and I had to find the antidote, it was specially made and It was time-released, if I didn't get to it in time, not even madam Palmfry would have been able to help. It was a new strain that was made by a very special person who always did marvelous in potions class Sir. The only thing I have to give you a guess is here." 

Ebony picked up the silver spider that was delicately made and had fire opal as eyes. underneath was etched [ Forever Yours Weaver]. 

" I have heard rumors of a weaver, would it happen to be ..." [ he leaned in and whispered the identity of Weaver] 

I nodded and he patted my shoulder and went to pull the other teachers aside to inform them who it was they needed to look for. The rest of the Slytherin house along with some people from other houses' were there. Once I came up the other prefects were asking questions a mile a minute about how could I not let them in on what was going on. Ebony held up a hand and just said. " I will answer you tomorrow right now I'm headed to the nurse's station and if you want me to tell you anything you better give me some space.

They all looked and mumbled to each other before they stepped aside and let her follow the nurse. Granted she was outside the room the whole night to the point the nurse said that she wasn't going anywhere that tomorrow she should be up to visitors, as there was an antidote waiting in her nurse's station with a note that said "I had to know for sure." The Nurse didn't get it but Ebony did and she reluctantly went to her house's door and spoke the password it opened and there was only one person who was up waiting on the couch in the common room the head of the Slytherin House.

"So you would risk everything for this girl? , this little Hufflepuff who you haven't even really been all that nice to till this year. what changed your mind? It couldn't have been her looks, she hasn't changed that much over the summer, I mean she filled out but in all reality, she is still the same little blonde chick you used to make fun of. "

"It all started cause she lost a Dare to Alicia on the train here and she was to be my shadow and do as I wanted. But she reminded me of someone close to me that left my second year in this place. The more I was around her the more I realized how messed up I had been, for she is one of the sweetest people I have met in a long time. I want to make sure she is safe, and so that was why I would risk everything just to make sure she is ok. I will not let her go. she is MY Hufflepuff."

He just nodded as he laced his fingers and his elbows resting on the top of the knees bringing them to his lips he thought for a moment. " well as you are not hurt, the girl got her antidote and everyone will be fine, I am only taking 65 points from Slytherin. It was a risky thing you did. What if you could not get to the final stage? she would have died and there wouldn't have been anything to come back to. You are 18 and you still are as reckless as ever. Next time something like that comes up you come to one of us, having more heads than one can usually be benifeical and help get things done a hell of a lot faster."

" I wanted to revoke your prefect privileges for this little debacle, but the headmaster said since it was your first offense If you have learned from your mistake in judgment that you may continue but we will be keeping a strict eye on you. Is that understood?"

"Yes, Sir, thank you, if it is alright I would like to go to sleep now it's been a rough day." Ebony said tiredly as she rubbed her eye a bit and yawned.

"Of course, rest for tomorrow will be a new day, a clean slate so to speak. It would be wise if you take this time to reflect on previous actions and maybe ponder on a few things that may be coming up for you. Have a good night/" 

With that, he got up and walked out of the common room and closed the door behind him with a click.
