As the class started and the teacher was going over the lesson, Ebony felt like someone was staring at her, but she couldn't place it. Looking around she saw that everyone had their attention on either the teacher or their syllabus for the semester. So why did her skin crawl and give her the terrifying feeling of being under a microscope of the presence of something ominous?

Shaking it off she focused on the task at hand and finally when the class was over she hurried out of there like a bat out of hell. Violet was trying to hurry up but ended up getting left in the room. " hmm, wonder why she took off so fast, maybe she was hungry?" since it was lunchtime. Shrugging it off she walked her way to the great hall and when she scanned the Slytherin table she didn't see Ebony anywhere. Figuring it was something important Violet sat down at her table and ate lunch talking and laughing with her housemates.

Ebony was nervous, she trusted her gut and maybe the fact that she knew her family had enemies as they were not the most friendly group of people and she was sure they all crossed over a line with other people. But would they come here? or persuade maybe someone who detested her for making them feel like an idiot? She could think of a few.  Before Ebony knew Violet showed up and her presence caused a stir of compassion, love, admiration, and respect, she was just as bad as her family at keeping people at arm's length as only her housemates would understand the principles she stood by inherited by her family. She was not used to feeling like this.

Soon she would have to make a name for herself outside of her family's reputation, She felt that she was good at divination and tarot reading, as it just seemed to call to her, so when she left Hogwarts she would pursue that line of work. It may not pay handsomely but she had the inheritance bestowed on her 18th birthday which was coming up fast. She had enough to live out her days and then some, her family made sure they made a name for themselves and had secured her future not need to worry about living but finding something she was good at. It was the only redeemable thing her family had ever done for her.

She was shaking her head, as the thought ran through her brain. Now is not the time to ponder about what my family will and will not do. As long as she keeps up with her grades and is an exceptional student they could care less what she does in her free time. Which isn't a whole lot but she makes time for her special parties. They were her pride and joy and she enjoys the company of those like-minded individuals who will remain anonymous. They also enjoy being part of a small community where they can be as kinky as they want, as long as they know not to abuse outright the role they are in, after all, they signed an agreement on paper to have utter respect for fellow kinksters before they even experienced the first party.

Her mind was already going through the possible themes, but she also had to realize that her itinerary was limited at the school. When she gets out of Hogwarts she will do what she does best and host parties for a specialty fee so she can profit and keep whatever tips she gets by reading fortunes. Her love will participate as hostess and will help to keep things running as well as show the guests to the room they will be renting for the hour, then after that hour is done, it will be cleaned with disinfectant from top to bottom by those who wish to be apart of the staff who gets paid in tips. All the gear is brought by the people who rent out the space.

She thought it could be at the beach house they hardly visit, and since her parents already rent it out, she will outright buy the house so it will be her responsibility. First, she has to save up from the parties she does here at Hogwarts, each member pays dues based on what they can spare. Sometimes she gives out coupons to buy a ticket and bring a plus one. Those are for her loyal customers that always make sure to go beyond what is asked and help make it a spectacular evening with entertainment.

That was for the future to worry about at the moment, she had a class to attend. Working her way through the crowd she saw a Slytherin student mauled to death, covered in claw marks and bite marks all over, and clothes were ripped and torn in places. It looked like an animal attack but why would they be here? as there was no extra blood indicating they were slain elsewhere her quick mind raced with suspects, as she recognized the dead body as one of the 5th-year students that hung around the girl who blackmailed her into a date. Soon one of the teachers came with the head prefect of Gryffindor in tow as they all moved aside they looked at the scene with shock and ushered everyone to go about their day, that they had everything under control and the headmaster would look into what happened personally.

Everyone moved along as they were ushered by their house prefects and classes went on as usual, but everyone kept whispering about how something could do that to a student and no one not hear about it, or the possibility the body was positioned for others to see; to cause a scene right under the headmaster's nose. There hadn't been a mauling on school since her parents went to Hogwarts. She felt someone close to her might have been the responsible party to the mauling, but she wasn't sure, she would have to do a list of the people she knew.
