Third-year looked at her and blushed. " I want you to go out on a date with me, and that includes a good night kiss. And for you to tell your new girlfriend to her face that you want a Slytherin instead of a Hufflepuff because they are inferior to our proud lineage and you will not tell her anything about our little agreement.  Filthy mudblood, she doesn't deserve to breathe in the same vicinity as you Ebony. Even your name is a masterpiece. I have had a crush on you since my first year, and now I get to say what we do on this date that you will agree on or you will face expulsion or worse, lose your precious cloak there."

Ebony hated this idea, she really didn't want things to go so badly that she would not forgive her, but she needed to stay in the school or her fate at home would be far more horrific than this third year could ever hope to imagine. Hating herself for doing this but knowing that usually when a Slytherin has an upper hand they are not about to lose face and do exactly as they promise. She frowned and stuck out her hand." we have a deal, but after the date, I get to do as I please or I will make sure you lose house points and no one here will ever know it was from me, I have ace's everywhere in this school, trust me YOU do not want me as an enemy." she said through gritted teeth as she was on the verge of choking out her housemate for this ridiculous ordeal.

Looks like tomorrow is going to suck big time. As she got up and took her cloak with her and shut her door she draped it over her desk chair and put the envelope in a drawer and laid back down and went to sleep. As the next day approached Ebony woke up early from a nightmare dealing with the third year and Violet. Getting up she saw it was about six am. Only the early birds were up this early and that usually didn't include her but today was different. She got dressed and wore her robe and made sure to lock her door so no one could go in there while she was away. taping the pocket that held her letter she didn't get to send last night deep into her robe so it couldn't fall out along the way.

Showing up at the owlery she petted her owl and put the note in the pouch he wore, she named him Fred, he was a beautiful barn owl. He took off and she sighed happily knowing no matter what her present would get done, even if Violet hated her after today she will still get what she promised her. A necklace like Ebony's but with her own birthstone with the same enchantment on it so people would learn not to pick on someone just for how they perceive them. Before she went to Hogwarts she got teased a lot and her mom got her the necklace as a fail-safe, soon after the people who used to pick on her would get shocked, or something on them would go wrong and it would embarrass them instead of focusing on Ebony. Just as long as people didn't mess with her the better off they would be. 

She lightly messed with her fire opal before kissing it and tucking it underneath her shirt. " Here goes the second most horrifying day this year." She whispered and headed toward the great hall for breakfast. As she walked in she saw Violet at her table and waved at her and beckoned for her to visit with her for a moment. But before that could happen the third year came up and took Ebony's hand in hers and smiled at Violet as she pulled Ebony into a kiss in front of her. Ebony's eyes didn't leave Violet, whose eyes started to water and she ran out of the main hall. Before Ebony could react she got pulled towards the Slytherin table. She followed feeling broken inside, as the flash of Violet's face went from happy, to surprised, to sadness, to anger in a few moments' time.

The look in the third year made her sick to her stomach, she was full of pep and didn't miss a beat to go and say they were dating now. knowing full well, that m they were not going to be going out anytime soon, and Ebony would stay clear of her from this time out. Hopefully Violet will listen to her when she goes to explain after today. Her focus was off balance, and pretty much everyone noticed. She barely said anything and was back to just daydreaming her day with Violet so when she did smile it was when she thought of little moments they shared. But ofcourse the third year took it as if she was having fun. 

Since she had Violet in a few of her classes, she tried to talk to her but every note that she passed she burned into ash with Incendio. "This was going to take somet time isnt?" She whispered to herself and consentrated on her work till it came to lunch time and the third year was back on her arm parading her like a prize to win. She broke away briefly saying she needed to use the restroom. When she was out of sight she ran into some of the seventh year Slytherin's. " having fun with a third year is it? what happened to the hufflepuff you were hanging out with? I thought she was the one you were dating." 

" It's a long story and I cant really get into it or it would be a breach of contract but have either of you seen where Violet may have went to ? "

they all looked at eachother and laughed, " why would we know where a stupid hufflepuff is Its hard enough to remember all of slytherins this year I have other things to worry about but If we do see her we will tell her you are looking for her."

" thanks mate that is much appriciated."

with that she returned to the table before the third year decided to go looking for Ebony because she took to long to get back .
