After explaining to Felix why she was so upset. Including all the horrible hateful things that August said to her, Isla decided to act as if he never existed. She and Felix made the conscious decision to act as if Isis was their baby. Isla even moved in with Felix.
They had many sleepless nights of trying to learn how to breastfeed her, change her, swaddle her, and just get her to sleep soundly. All while Isla juggled online art classes and Felix juggled in person classes and football. They were burning both ends of the candle, but they truly couldn't be happier.
Even in the back of her mind, Isla thought August might come to his senses and want to be a part of his daughter's life. Instead he did the exact opposite. He even went as far as moving back to Boston to expand he and Luxe's connections in the NorthEast with his Philadelphia connections, Ifrit and Raw.
So no he never changed his mind and never contacted Isla after that day at the hospital. For all intents and purposes, if you didn't know the history behind Isis's existence, it was truly as if Isla and August never happened. And she was just fine with that.
"I know, Icy. Daddy gets home soon, we miss daddy, huh?!"
Watching her beautiful little honey colored daughter play on their bed in her bathrobe, Isla couldn't be more at peace.

If 12 months ago during the beginning of her pregnancy, you were to tell her that August would deny their daughter at birth, disappear to Boston, she would be moved in with Felix, raising her 6 month old daughter as their's, and head over heels in love? She'd call you a liar and tell you to leave her heartbroken ass alone. But there she was living exactly that truth.
Isis and Felix provided that sense of love and security that Isla had been missing since she was 12. They gave her a feeling of wholeness. And the best part? She knows she truly completes them. She knows that they feel complete with her. Everyday wasn't and still isn't perfect. She and Felix argue and have disagreements, but at the end of them, they still love each other and they want to fix the issue.
Hearing the front door open, Isla gets beyond excited.
"Ahhhh! Daddy's here!" She sings to Isis as she scoops her up off the bed and walks them towards the living room.
