Lisa wasn't going to lie - she loved seeing Jennie get all riled up. Despite being such a prominent bully, Jennie is awfully easy to get a rise out of. It was a much cuter look on her, being all flustered and caught up in her emotions. Showed that she was at least partly human.

Their little tutoring session must've annoyed Jennie enough to get her off Lisa's back when Friday came around. She expected another wave of little antics, but nothing happened. She didn't even see the brunette, or her groupies, all day.

Needless to say, Chaeyoung and Jungkook were suspicious of the sudden peace after a week of nonstop harassment. Lisa wasn't completely sure what to think of it. Maybe she'll just start avoiding me entirely.

After all. Lisa doubted the honour student would be absent even for just one day. She seemed to be taking careful measures to not run into Lisa.

Lisa was making her way outside from 5th period to eat lunch with Chaeyoung and Jungkook. Lost in thought about her newfound enemy, she jumped when she felt someone tap on her shoulder. She whirled around to see a small girl with glasses who look strangely familiar.

Where did Lisa see her before...?

"I'm sorry to bother you," the girl squeaked out.

"Oh!" Lisa exclaimed, startling the smaller girl.

"You're that girl from the bathroom! The one who  was getting bullied by Jennie!"

The girl nodded shyly. "I wanted to thank you for helping me that time. I should've said something earlier, but I've been too shy to approach you."

Lisa smiled at the girl.

"No problem. What's your name?" Lisa reached out a hand.

The girl hesitantly shook Lisa's hand, her cheeks growing red in the process.

"Nancy."

"I'm Lisa. So, does Jennie's posse normally give you a hard time?"

"Yeah," Nancy murmured. "It's like she has a personal vendetta against me."

Oh, Lisa knew how that felt.

The poor girl seemed too shy to make friends, and she must be terrified at school because of Jennie. Lisa honestly felt sorry for the girl...she hated bullies who preyed on the easiest targets.

"Do you want to eat lunch with my friends and me?" Lisa offered. "We sit out by the soccer field."

Nancy looked startled at the invitation. "Oh, no, I'd just be imposing!"

"Oh, come on, it's fine!" Lisa grabbed the smaller girl's arm and began hauling her over to the field. "My friends are super cool too."

The girl stopped protesting and they headed over to sit with Chaeyoung and Jungkook.

Nancy was quiet and meek, but she wasn't a bad person. Lisa learned that her grades were only second in the school behind Jennie and that the bullying started because Jennie felt threatened that she would overtake her position. She tried to intimidate Nancy and make her life a living hell to ruin her academic performance.

Honestly, Lisa knew that Jennie was catty and a mean girl, but she didn't expect her to go so far. Trying to ruin a girl's life for your own academic reputation?

Lisa didn't care that Jennie was going after herself, but to prey on a quiet bookworm like Nancy?

Lisa sighed as she left her final class of the day. She was tired of thinking about the ice queen all the time.

The girl just kept finagling her way into every conversation and situation. I need to focus on my friends and catch up on schoolwork.

But any thoughts going through Lisa's head were scattered when she rounded the corner of a hallway and stumbled right into someone.

And, of course, that someone was Jennie. The brunette glared angrily up at Lisa. "Watch where the fuck you're going, Amazon!" she snarled.

Well, I didn't miss this.

Jennie didn't seem interested in staying to talk because she swept around Lisa to walk by her immediately. But something just wasn't sitting right with Lisa.

She grabbed the honour student's arm before she could stomp away.

"Hey, I talked to Nancy, the girl you keep harassing."

"Don't touch me!" Jennie snatched her arm away from Lisa's. Now that Lisa was looking at the girl's face, she noticed her eyes were slightly puffy as if she'd been crying. Before Lisa could really process anything,

Jennie gave her an incredulous look.

"Nancy? What about her?"

"She told me about how you keep making her life miserable because you're scared she'll take away your number one spot in the school."

Jennie honestly looked confused, in a rather furious way.

"What the fuck? You know, you really shouldn't-" Jennie was cut off by a loud ringtone. She quickly fumbled for her phone and looked at the screen. Lisa couldn't really understand the expression she was showing in response.

"I-I've got to go," Jennie suddenly stated, and she hurried off before Lisa could say anything.

Lisa stood still for a second, confused at what just happened.

Why did Jennie look like she'd been crying? Why did she react that way when Lisa mentioned Nancy?

What was up with that phone call? Why did Lisa even care about any of this?

Jennie was just your typical high school mean girl. All Lisa had to do was ignore her and try to prevent her from bullying Nancy anymore. She didn't need to be concerned with the bitch's private life or feelings or anything.

"Ugh," Lisa grumbled. "I don't even know what's going on anymore?"
