Things seemed to be changing between Jennie and Lisa ever since the sleepover. It was to be expected, after all, since they opened up to each other about different parts of their personal lives. Not to mention almost kissi-

No.

That didn't happen. They're no way that's what it was. Jennie was probably half-asleep, imagining a mood that wasn't there. Sure, Lisa was a lesbian, and

Jennie didn't exactly hate her anymore, but there was nothing like that between them.

Regardless, Lisa had turned into something like Jennie's new henchwoman (or at least, that's how Jennie thought of it) in her quest to knock Jisoo down a peg. Jisoo hadn't really stopped harassing the two of them - she kept being all over Lisa whenever Jennie was around and would even have the nerve to invite the tall girl out alone.

Not to mention her continued antics in always trying to one-up Jennie. Pretending to be a teacher's pet, joining a bunch of clubs, becoming a star volleyball player after just joining the team. Not to mention how beautiful she was - even Jennie could admit that.

Now with the whole school it was like, Jisoo this, Jisoo that. Every day in class Jennie wanted to rip someone's head off for mentioning her. What's worse is that Jisoo was pretending that she was Jennie's friend, so people were starting to act like Jennie was Jisoo's lackey.

As if! Everyone had completely forgot about Jisoo after she left freshman year. Meanwhile, Jennie had three years of being, like, the queen of the school.

Nayeon and Irene were scared of Jisoo and couldn't find anything on her, so Jennie had to look to Lisa for assistance, since Jisoo seemed to have taken an interest in her anyway.

Honestly, deep inside Jennie was kind of grateful that Jisoo decided to show up out of nowhere. Sure, she made the honour student nervous, but she gave Jennie and Lisa an excuse to keep talking to each other. After all, their tutoring sessions had come to an end, and they didn't have too many other excuses to continue talking to each other.

But now they met even more often. Sometimes Jisoo would drag them along with her to lunch. Sometimes Lisa would ask Jennie to help her with some homework (that she actually seemed to understand just find). And sometimes Jennie would call an emergency "Jisoo meeting". They even texted each other pretty often, Jennie abandoning the claim that she would block Lisa.

A couple of weeks passed like this, and Jennie started to notice more and more "symptoms" of what must be some horrible disease. Heart racing, butterflies in the stomach, dryness of the mouth, thinking of the other person, wanting to be physically near the other person all the time...

Obviously, Jennie had heard of these symptoms before, but she'd never felt them prior to meeting Lisa, and she was surprised at how they had just become a part of her daily existence. Even refusing to put a name to them, these feelings were almost comfortable now.

Jennie's phone vibrated on her desk, startling her a bit as she daydreamt in homeroom. She couldn't help the small twinge of giddiness when Lisa's name popped up on the screen.

Lisa: Doing anything fun for Halloween?

Jennie: Probably not

Jennie: It's on a weekday after all

Lisa: Let's go trick or treating!

Jennie: How old are you?

Lisa: You're never too old to trick or treat!!

Lisa: What about a haunted house?

Jennie: Those things stress me out.

Lisa: You mean you're scared of them?
